Its a laptop DVD drive....bought it to replace my DVD drive that broke down on my Dell laptop. Doesn't exactly fit, but it works fine and still continues to work to this day. No complaints here

Yup, it's a laptop DVD writer. Be aware most of us have to disassemble our laptops to install it, so best practice opening Chinese puzzle boxes.
