The Satellite 1805-S203 does not represent the leading edge of Toshiba's notebook technology, but it does offer a nice set of basic components at a very attractive price. An 800-MHz Celeron processor is paired with 128 MB of RAM; storage includes a 15 GB hard disk drive and a DVD-ROM drive. The system's midrange-sized screen measures 13.3 inches diagonally and supports 1,024 x 768 resolution. A 56K modem is included as well. One area where the Satellite is less than ideal is portability: at 7 pounds, almost 2 inches thick, and with a rated 2-hour battery life, it's not easy to carry around for long. The Satellite comes with Microsoft Windows Me, plus Lotus SmartSuite Millennium Edition and Quicken Basic 2001.

I am very pleased with the performance of my Satellite 1805. Weighing at 7 lbs. and under 2 inches thick, it is ideal for work(Windows ME) or play(great DVD) for a systems that is under $1200.
More than enough system memory(128MB) and HD(15-GIG) for what I need.

A very good box at a very, very affordable price!

Don't listen to that guy about the bad Celeron (INTEL MAKES CELERON PROCESSORS). I have never had any problems with them, and this is good package for the price

This is a solid notebook at a great price. It has everything I need, including a DVD player for watching movies on the road. There is no point in buying a desktop computer anymore when you can get this much stuff packed into a portable machine at such a low price.
