I've had this laptop for just about a month and I am very pleased with what I got. It has everything that the detailed specs said it was going to have, no more and no less. I use it as my main computer everywhere I go, even in my classroom. It feels a little heavier than my old Satellite Pro, but I think that is the price of a 16" widescreen. My one and only complaint would have to be the mouse pad. It is a very large mouse pad and it seems that where I place my hands while typing, I occasionally touch the pad and send the mouse off somewhere else on the screen and start typing there. Just something I need to get used to and it shouldn't deter anyone from buying this great machine.

The laptop came in the mail and I couldn't wait to use it. The glowing white lights as the accents give it a new and modern feel. And the sleek shiny black decklid feels like velvet at my fingertips. Yes the aesthetics are second to none, however the software was ok. Vista had a hard time using the sleep mode and screen saver to work so it took four calls to Toshiba to get it right. Also the Norton software that came free? Well it didn't give me any protection - it only showed up just to tell me I have a virus, and Norton wasn't compatible with Vista. Panda virus protection for this laptop is great. AND this is the best laptop I've ever had, I love it.

I selected this computer after reviewing at least six other comparable computers. I like the facial recognition feature and the many other features that are integrated in this system. I could have purchased the 18.2" screen but that did not provide me with a true 16:9 aspect ratio which makes a big difference in viewing quality. This computer is perfect for my needs without the added expense. The finish is extremely shiny and every fingerprint appears on the surface. I'm not too impressed with the camera quality either.

This laptop is everything I expected and much more I wouldn't trade it for any other brand with equivalent features.

I think it is a greate laptop, low price and full power to work. The Best option. Buy it!

A mi parecer este es un excelente Laptop, su procesador de doble nucleo Intel Centrino de 2.0 Ghz proporciona una velocidad impresionante! Su pantalla panoramica de 16 pulgadas ayuda a reducir el cansancio visual. Es un equipo de lujo, con un apariencia billante, es como porcelanizado. Se comporta muy bien usando Wi Fi, aunque no posee Bluetooh facilmente se le puede colocar un adaptador USB para que cumpla esta funsion. Su bateria es de 6 celdas con 4000 mAh de larga duracion. El sonido de sus parlantes es limpio y nitido, muy agradable! He escrito mi nota en castellano para compartir mi experiencia con muchos venezolanos que estan realizando sus compras en Amazon. No lo piensen dos veces, este es un excelente portatil!

The product arrived quickly and was ready to use right out of the box. The machine came with 25 usages of MS programs on it without having to enter a product code. If one does not have MS Office Home and Student 2007 (or such MS product)it would be a good idea to purchase this when purchasing your laptop.

The Toshiba Sattelite I ordered was a perfectly fine laptop, but it was advertised to have HDMI and S-Video outputs. When I received the computer, it had none of these outputs. Even the documentation that came in the box with the computer said it should have those video outputs. All of the images on the Amazon site as well as the Toshiba site showed the A350 series laptops having these outputs. I ended up having to return the laptop to Datavision who I bought it from thru Amazon. I spent $30 to ship it back and they charged me a 15% restocking fee, another $106, even though it was not my fault. There were no disclaimers anywhere stating that the outputs shown may not be on some units.

This is a very good laptop, and I think it was a very good buy. I have tested and is ok. like other said, there is no finger reader, and also, in one picture appears a s-video output, but the laptop doesn't have it. Everything else is very good. I like the black color, that give elegance to the design, and also the inside logo of Toshiba has light. The sound is very good also. I'm glad with my new laptop.

Well from all that was listed in terms of performance and functionalities the laptop seem pretty okay by me. The only issue I had is that I was expecting it to come with a fingerprint reader and shown in the picture but it didn't and thats the only disappointing factor. Overall, its good.

Laptop is decent enough.....but little long due to the wide screen.
