This is an actual Toshiba charger for a much better price than the universal chargers that are on the market. I received the charger through the standard shipping (free) almost as fast as driving 15 to 20 miles to a retail store to buy the universal type charger (as I recall I ordered on a Friday evening and received the charger the next Tuesday!).

This is a very faulty and bad product. I haven't had it for more than a month and it already has quit working. The wires have spliced on the cord and will not charge my computers battery. Hopefully I can find a better charger before the battery dies on my laptop.

I purchased one of these for a customer. While it worked, the plug fit very loosely into the laptop and would simply fall out if tugged even slightly. Within a week it had stopped working with a loud POP, and now something rattles inside the adapter's casing. Maybe a capacitor blew its housing? I have no idea, and I'm not going to waste time cracking it open to find out. Returned it through Amazon for a refund.

This appears to be the same product Toshiba sells on their website for $90, where you'll find dozens of reviews all complaining about the same things: loose fit into the laptop, heat, and frequent failures. Some people are on their 3rd or 4th adapter in a single month. These adapters are absolute junk and Toshiba needs to step up their game. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, 3rd-party adapters seem to be just as bad, so the real lesson, I suppose, is to avoid Toshiba laptops altogether.

I purchased this in May, and it seemed to work fine. In September, I was using the computer when I noticed smoke rising from where the wall plug part of the cord plugs into the power supply box. The plug was very hot and I'm sure it would have started a fire, had I not been there. I will return it if I can, but won't buy from anywhere other than the manufacturer again. It may say Toshiba on the label, but that means little, they can be fake as well. Perhaps the quality is normally fine, but I won't take that chance again, and I also won't be leaving the computer plugged in when I'm away, or asleep.

I was afraid this wouldn't fit my laptop, as I searched through a bunch of different ones, and none of the numbers seemed to match. Though this one was more on the expensive end compared to the others (still WAY cheaper than going somewhere else though), I was willing to pay more to get my laptop powered back up again. Thankfully, it was a perfect match and has been working fine in the 3 weeks I've had it!

I got this after my original AC adapter died on my Toshiba Satellite L305 S5944, and am quite thrilled with it. It looks exactly like my old one, with the exception that the power cord is three prong rather than 2. It does its job!

Lightening hit destroyed my surge and battery pack. Bought this one on a lark and it's great. No complaints.

I was a bit hesitant ordering this item - I was afraid it wouldn't fit my laptop properly after reading some of the other reviews. I'm happy to report this item fit perfectly and I'm back in business. The design is a bit different than the power adapter that came with my laptop and I'm hopeful this cord won't split at the base of the connector as the original did. The description of the product was spot on.

It worked the instant I got it. I purchased this about a month ago, and it's still in great use. Comes with two power cords too in case something happens to the other. Very durable as well. I give it a 5 out of 5
