I got this laptop at the Black Friday price of $469.00. It's a great medium size laptop with an AMD M500 which performs about on par with a Core 2 Duo T6600. It also has a 10 key which is really nice. With 3g of RAM upgradeable to 8 (I boosted mine to 4) and 320g of storage it will perform well and store all the music and video I need. I gave 4 stars because it could have a better video card and I prefer the older Toshiba style Touchpad that is indented rather than flush with the casing. I believe that the 32 bit OS it comes with will only recognize 4 gigs of RAM, so it is odd that they assume you could beef up the RAM to 8 with a 32 bit OS. I installed Windows 7 64 bit so problem solved. Also,it is Toshiba! Great quality. If you are looking for a lower priced laptop with a good amount of storage and modern processing ability, this one could definitely fit the bill! A manual to turn it on? Seriously???

Love my machine, love the webcam, love the fact that I have my number pad on the side just like a desktop!!! The windows 7 is a little different from Windows VISTA. Love the "note" feature in Windows 7. Got it on sell at Amazon for less than $500 with free shipping. This is my second toshiba laptop. Passed on the first to my sista. Good product

Im a High graphic User, but low budget person..
I play L2, WOW, Dota, COD4 ..
Use Photoshop and lots of HD movies..

The screen of this laptop is AMAZING, it looks HUGE, but its because of its HD Resolution..

3GB DDR2 800 ..
Enough for WIN7 32bits..

Can run all of the Games above listed in medium/high settings ~40fps the lowest..
WIndows 7 runs as it was NUTTIN! .. ultra extra smooth..
Could had some Multimedia Buttons..

Well, I was impressed by the fact that I got it before the delivery date, second and honestly it is a good deal, good price good window7, for the first time I have experienced window 7, and I can say that there is a good improvement since the old windows, easy to use and to restore in case something goes wrong. Apart the benefit you may get from Window, this Toshiba is fast and has got all the interface you basically need!

Well about the battery I have noticed that it may last about 3hours (while typing some php script and so on)

If you are thinking to install another OS on it i.e.Linux, you may experience some trouble.

I bought this machine for my sister, who needed a laptop badly. I choose the Toshiba brand because I currently own one for a few years and I don't have problems. First and foremost the specs on this machine and the price attracted my attention. Then when I received the product from Amazon, whose delivery service is out of this world, I couldn't believe how light the machine was for the size and the keyboard is just muaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!! Makes me want to type a thousand words per minute. Having the full number keyboard at the side like a calculator was also great. Great machine for the price!!!!!!!!!!!

this has so far been a great computer ,easy to use and lots of new features windows 7 is great!

This Toshiba does not come with an operator manual. Purchased for the wife and she has NO experience with computers,now I have to teach her everything. Called Toshiba and they don't even offer a manual. You can print one from your computer if you know how to turn it on
