I didn't want to buy a laptop that came with the dreaded Vista and so my choices were not good. Fortunately, this Satellite Pro came with XP pre-installed and the price was right. The notebook does come with Vista if you want to upgrade your way to slower performance. Toshiba also has a program to request Windows 7 for free.
The internal wireless works flawlessly and can be turned off externally via a switch. All USB ports provide enough power for external hard drives. The keyboard has a nice feel and the mouse pad is pretty functional. The only drawback I found is that you won't be able to run games such as Unreal Tournament 3 that require high performance video. Too slow for that. Otherwise, this is an excellent notebook. |
