It works well, looks good and it well made.

I like this case, it is a little heavy duty and adds a little more weight but I feel like my tablet is well protected with it.

I like that I can have it in the case and just fold it so that it is a stand so I can watch movies, tv shows on it.

I received both my Toshiba Thrive Tablet and this case on July 12th (yesterday). Its the perfect case for the Thrive, just as my Kindle Case performs flawlessly.

The case is faux Stiff Leather without that chemical smell. It does tend to get sticky, easily washable. The inside consists of velcro fasteners and felt-like backing for the Velcro. The tab easily slips in and out. I haven't even begun to arrange all the positions the case can move into, but it does live up to the hype. AND - its cheaper here, who doesn't want a deal after spending all those bucks on the Toshiba Thrive itself?

I keep the Tab mainly in the case (only take out for some gaming). I got into this habit from keeping the Kindle in its case. You can charge and use ear plugs with the case on. You can slide the port covering piece off, and your mini-usb is ready to plug in and do some file transferring (Vista and Win 7 only, XP needs an upgrade, Macs and Linux need tweaking).

There is a video on You Tube demonstrating Open Port Hatch with the case on. Most folks typically slide from the top down (Power Button on top). Even the docking port is available at the bottom, though I don't see docking with the case on. The straps and Case Holder are also faux Leather, and a strap with Velcro backing securely holds your Tab in place. Holes are sliced for both front/back Camera lens access.

I've read that not so many were pleased with the 360 choice. This case suits my needs just fine, as I'm sure yours will be met.

Side Note: may be returning the screen protectors - just don't feel the need for them at the moment. Feels more like the Kindle than my Lap Top.

This portfolio makes it easy to stand up and use the tablet. My husband loves it and has not taken his tablet out of it since it arrived. The portfolio is sturdy and well made. We are pleased.

I dont know why people are complaining about the weight. The case by itself is not that heavy. The table slides in and out very easy. I like that I can have it in the case and just fold it so that it is a stand so I can watch movies, tv shows on it.
I have heard people talk about the slimier roocase but there website doesnt even mention it and the contact us link doesnt do anything. This case is made very well and looks nice. You do not have to keep the tablet in it all the time. I sometimes take it out and when I am done but it back. For $30+ bucks I like the protection.

I am not disagreeing with the other reviewers. I test devices and cases as a side hobby, then write published reviews. My main criteria for any case, be it Thrive,Ipad 2, Galaxy 10.1, Iconia, Touchpad etc, is portability. I do NOT want a case that will protect the device if I drop it on the ground. I want a case that hardly adds any bulk, makes it easy to grip and protects the screen from knocks. All of the devices I just mentioned, have pretty scratch resistant screens. They may smudge easily in some cases, but the screens are pretty solid. So if I want to slip a device into my bag or case, I only need it to to stop dust and dirt getting onto the screen. I also want to stop any really hard objects from creating concentrated pressure. If you have a $500-700 device, then you should make sure you do not drop it: having a device that is non slip and not bulky to carry, achieves that. Having a case that is huge, does not let you hold it comfortably in your hands and has to be removed to use in a dock...well that is too much hassle to even want to make me use the tablet!

This case, in my opinion, does not do the Thrive any justice. It adds a POUND in weight! It almost doubles the bulk of the device. It makes it a lot more difficult to hold. But most of all it hides the beautiful form of the thrive completely. I think it is a really ugly cover too, since it is bigger, depth-wise, than it needs to be. It's like putting Cinderalla's foot in a size 15 wader! The whole point of a tablet is portability, and while the Thrive is a little heavier than most, it is well balanced and ideal for a lot of needs. It is however not a laptop substitute-none of these devices are. So why try and create a case that almost increases the weight to 2.8 pounds! There are some laptops that are just 3.5 lbs!

Thickness: will add an extra .49" to your tablet's overall thickness
Weight: 1 lb 1 oz

Yes, it adds weight and bulk, but I rather have it to protect the tablet from accidental bumps, scratches and drops, especially when my 4 yr old kid is playing with it. The case fits nice and snug. The only issue I have is that while the tablet is in this case, it's somewhat difficult to open the cover to the USB, HDMI ports, you have to really dig into it with your finger.

UPDATE 8/10/2011
After using it for about 10 days, I found that I rather use the tablet without this case, since I mostly use the tablet at home only. Don't need the extra protection and that the case makes the tablet feel too thick, the tablet feels so much thinner and lighter without this case. If the tablet gets damaged without this case, my bad!

This is a fairly priced case: for less than $30, you get a sturdy case with a very snug fit and a lot of protection.I agree that this case does add some weight and width, but I can live with that.I guess I would not get a thrive in the first place if I cared so much about the weight. The multi-angle stand is also nice. Overall, it is a good buy.
