4.0 out of 5 stars Shabbat Board Book
My 15 month old son loves this book. It is very simple yet captures the feel of the Sabbath. He identifies the candles, challah and wine. Yet it is short enough to keep his attention. We read it over and over again, several times a day. We first borrowed this book from the library so now I am ordering him his own copy to read on Shabbat.

3.0 out of 5 stars Warm 'n Fuzzy but short
I was very excited to receive this book. I was pretty surprised at the simplicity and length (or rather, lack thereof) of it... I have many short books, but I think I was expecting just a tad more from this one. It is certainly lovely, and my son likes it, but you might choose to look at it at the library first to see if it is the right book for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Favourite!, March 29, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Tot Shabbat (Board book)
This is, without question, my two-year-old's favourite book. It goes everywhere with her! Tot Shabbat presents the most familar of Sabbath objects and activies: the kiddush cup, challah, and ending with the Sh'ma. We think it's a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tot Shabbat, April 7, 2005

A simple, sweet introduction to Shabbat complete with Shabbat candles, challah and the sweet grapes for the Kiddush cup. "Shabbat peace is as warm as a big hug!" This last line, coupled with the soft watercolor illustrations, delivers what very young children need daily- the comforting feeling that spiritual celebrations with your family provide.
