4.0 out of 5 stars Great for all those little toys
We have had this toy shelf for quite awhile now and thank goodness. It helps to keep all those little balls, blocks and small stuff animals off the floor. So far it seems pretty durable. We attached the anchor strap to the wall and my daughter tugs and leans on the shelf with no problems. The one thing she does have a hard time with is when she wants to remove one...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great idea for organization!
Very easy to put together. Tubs are very sturdy. The arms and rods could be made a little stronger. The tubs don't fit perfectly but overall it does the job,

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for all those little toys, July 26, 2009

We have had this toy shelf for quite awhile now and thank goodness. It helps to keep all those little balls, blocks and small stuff animals off the floor. So far it seems pretty durable. We attached the anchor strap to the wall and my daughter tugs and leans on the shelf with no problems. The one thing she does have a hard time with is when she wants to remove one container from any shelf other than the top she has a hard time and gets really frustrated. This usually leads to all of the bins above it coming out and toys strewn every where. Other than that though a great investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great organizer for smaller toys!, December 21, 2008

This organizer is perfect for smaller toys you need to separate. Larger toys don't fit so well due to the small space between the top and bottom of the bins. It's very sturdy only if you put it together right. I can easily see how people think it's not sturdy but they just did not put it together properly. You have to lay the wooden board down, then insert rods sticking straight up in air, then lay other wooden board on top and screw in. Hey, I did it by myself! Great organizer!

I bought this bin toy organizer after Christmas. Before this, we had been using a toy chest. They are great when the toys are big and baby-ish, but now my kids (boy 5YO and girl 3YO) are getting smaller things that could get lost or damaged in the chest. Not to mention, every time they wanted a certain toy, everything had to come out, and rarely got put back. So after Christmas, as I was cleaning up, I decided to start looking for something better. I found this and couldn't be happier. First, we went through all the toys and donated the "baby" ones, the ones they don't play with, fast food toys, ect. Then I figured out what was left. I ordered this. It came in a few days with free shipping. I put it together by myself, with the help of my 3YO:) very easily. Now when they play, they put everything back before getting something else. Everything gets played with more too. The "play area" looks cleaned up.I had nothing come damaged like others have said. I have the Primary colored one since it does sit in my living room for now.I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy organizer, August 22, 2008
This review is from: Tot Tutors Toy Organizer, Primary Colors (Kitchen)
Aside from being slightly annoyed at having to pay >$50 for a toy organizer, this product is excellent and now that I have it, I think is worth the money. It is sturdy and well built. The rods are metal, but you'd never know it unless you put it together since they match the wood color. My son loves it and it's easy to keep clean. Stores a large amount of different sized toys and the bins are easy to keep clean. We're very pleased.

I got it from walmart.com: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5983466

I had this thing up and running by 8:30 am. Boxes are a decent size and it is a one person job to put together. It doesn't take up a lot of room and my son is able to see everything he needs. Great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Flexible and Empowering, January 4, 2011

To get right to the point, this organizer is fantastic!

First of all, it is flexible in that the bins can be moved between levels depending upon what is being stored within them or the mood of your little one.

The other big thing about this storage system is that empowers the youngster to be able to select his or her toys from the bins and put them away without needing much help from grown-ups. In fact, our 2 year old has been using his since he was around a year old and likes to be able to hand pick individual toys from the bins or remove an entire bin for toys like blocks, truck and cars, where having the entire bin on the floor is more convenient. Other storage systems that utilize tall shelving, containers with lids and the like make it difficult for little ones to help themselves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy for toddler, functional, and looks good in playroom, May 28, 2010

I'm satisfied with the sturdiness which was my primary concern. As soon as our toddler saw the organizer he immediately pushed and pulled on the top bins pretty hard and the organizer didn't move much at all. The WO560 has extended feet on the bottom to prevent the unit from falling over which appear to work well.

My only knock against the organizer is that I wish the bars were also wood - but the metal bars are strong and don't make the WO560 look cheap (like some similar units I've seen at department stores). Like other reviewers have said the middle bins work well for small toys and you'll want to keep the heavier items on the bottom to help prevent the unit from tipping over.

We have the primary color model and it does look good in our child's playroom. He seems to really like going through the different bins and picking out toys.

I did receive one damaged bin and I contacted Tot Tutors by phone. They were courteous and shipped a replacement bin, so I'm pretty happy with their customer service as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit bigger would make this organizer perfect., December 19, 2010
This review is from: Tot Tutors Toy Organizer, Primary Colors (Kitchen)
This organizer is fantastic. Assembly was simple, and it can moved around very easily with the cutout handles. It has saved quite a bit of space and is structurally sound.

Right away, I was surprised at how well my 2-year-old interacted with it. When he wants to play with a group of toys, he takes an entire bucket off the rack. He knows where toys go and likes to put them away and it's easy to get him involved in doing so by bringing the buckets to the floor. When we moved, and most of the toys were still in boxes, he enjoyed playing with the buckets themselves, matching up the colors, stacking them, even wearing them as a hat.

My only critique is that it could be bigger. Many families might need to supplement this organizer with a large toy chest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, straight-forward, sturdy desgin!, December 12, 2010

This is a breeze to assemble. I recommend using a drill with a screwdriver attachment to speed it up. It took about 10 minutes to assemble. The finish is a natural, unfinished look. And, it fits a good amount of crafts (what we use it for) - kid's crayons, stickers, coloring books, etc. I would recommend this to anyone. I saw the same (or similar) one in Lowes for $10-15 more that I purchased this one for on Amazon. So far, I am very pleased with the purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Small Toys, November 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tot Tutors Toy Organizer, Primary Colors (Kitchen)
This is a good toy organizer for small toys. I had originally thought we'd be able to keep more toys in there, but this organizer really is for toys like cars, blocks, rings, beads and books. My daughter's dolls barely fit. She can fit one doll per bucket, so we decided to get a large toy box to use in conjunction with this.

It wasn't that difficult to put together. My husband had it assembled in 10 minutes. We had a harder time deciding where to keep it. We found that it wasn't sturdy at all on carpeting and needed to be directly on the floor.

The bins can either be placed in at an angle or directly flat. Neither position is perfect, but we found that the angled position best suited our 10 month old. We've also opted to leave the buckets off of the top rack for now, as our daughter pulls some of the buckets/toys onto her head when she's standing in front of it.
