5.0 out of 5 stars Core Contingency
Now this is a great expansion for Total Annihilation. No one can doubt that. It adds about 50 units to your game, about 5 or 10 different map types, About 50 to 100 maps, 1000's of features to go with the maps, and it's what is required to play just about every mod for TA out there (Currently, 2009, the places where you can find them are vanishing, but later, they'll be...

1.0 out of 5 stars Corrupted file on CD-ROM - Cannot get game to load properly
I purchased this expansion pack so that I would be able to use the web add-ons that are provided by the game's maker, Blue Wolf. I have been unable to get the game to load due a file on the disk that I bought that is corrupt. This information was told to me by Blue Wolf when I wrote them regarding the problems that I was having with the game. They said the ccdata.ccx...

It adds one mission set to Core, one to Arm, and an added Arm mission, Krogoth Encounter. Krogoth is for Core, and is one of the added units. If you see this coming after you, just hurry up and highlight all your units and hit CTRL+D. It's better for you to be the cause of your units death. If you have Core Contingency, that means you can download 3rd party units, which some of them are better than Cavedogs units. Once you have it, you'll be surprised how better it is, not that you need it, because even without it, it's still a great game.

This information was told to me by Blue Wolf when I wrote them regarding the problems that I was having with the game. They said the ccdata.ccx file is corrupt and the expansion pack is not able to be fully used. I am not happy with this situation and would hope Amazon will inform the seller that they are selling defective products.
