This item does what it is supposed to do, but is a bit clumsy to use. The velcro straps that fasten the ice bag to your shoulder are constantly getting stuck together making it necessary to get help from a second person. I definitely would not recommend it for a senior. If I had to do it all over, I would look for a product that my physical therapist uses. It's essentially a unit that you keep in your freezer. The entire shoulder area is one large ice pack wrapped in soft material. And its held to your shoulder by the sheer weight of the unit. Much more convenient.

This is a good product. It does what it is supposed to do. I would recommend this to anyone who has a shoulder injury which needs ice therapy.
