5.0 out of 5 stars martial arts reader, April 30, 2004
This review is from: Total Mindbody Training (Paperback)
I have read a multitude of books on peak performance training. Many over the last few years have sections that copy from this book word for word. It is good to finally find the original.
Highly recommended not only for the martial artist, but for anyone interested in peak performance athletic training.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative!, August 7, 2007
By
This review is from: Total Mindbody Training (Paperback)
I bought this book because I wanted some techniques to help with physical training. I thought that it would provide some short stories to compliment the information but it kinda reads like a text book, which isn't all that bad. For the price and the wealth of information that is contains it is a good buy. Also it is written by a Doctor so, you know that it has to have some basis in truth. I would reccommend it to anyone who wants to know how to enhance their Total Mind Body Training...

4.0 out of 5 stars A good basic guide for those desiring peak performance in any physical activity., October 30, 2009
This review is from: Total Mindbody Training (Paperback)
Whether you are a martial artist or are involved in any athletic activity, this book will help you to achieve your goals. It is not a martial art instruction manual in that it has no katas or self-defense techniques. What this book is, however, is a highly practical and effective approach to increase your performance. This 111 page volume is broken down into five chapters. Chapter one explains the goals and motivational force to peak performance. The second chapter deals with achieving performance through physiology. Chapter three emphasizes the use of focus to peak performance. Visualization techniques are covered in chapter four. Finally, chapter five stresses the importance of ritual to achieve peak performance.

In conclusion, this is a book for anyone who is interested in how to achieve peak performance in the martial arts and other athletic activities.

Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art Myths, Season of the Warrior).
