Product Description

The year is 1989 and deep in the sweltering heat of the Mayan jungle, camouflaged among the Mayan ruins; Ernesto Cruz catches his breath as he makes a last gasp effort to board a DEA plane to take him to safety. He never made it home, the tragic victim of an alleged ‘OVERDOSE’. The search for their father’s killer takes twin brothers Ram and Tommy through 18 different environments from the city of Los Toros to the Mexican desert. 4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Thrills, July 5, 2007

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Total Overdose: A Gunslingers Tale in Mexico (CD-ROM)
Total Overdose is a fun game if you're looking for fast first-person shooter action and aren't bothered by a "shallow" game. This game isn't built on plot, and I don't think it's one of those ones you would want to re-play many times. However, it is pretty fun and not terribly challenging. If the racial stereotypes, immature main character, gratuitous near-nudity, and senseless violence don't bother you, it's not a bad game! The game is not nearly as detailed or "deep" as, for example, Grand Theft Auto, but the gameplay is a lot faster and the main story/quest line develops quickly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, cheap thrills, GTA it is not, January 5, 2008
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Total Overdose: A Gunslingers Tale in Mexico (CD-ROM)
Bullet time style game play, amusing for small periods of game play, but loses it's appeal after a few hours. It gets repetitive and uninventive after you jump-killed the same looking guys over and over. It is fun, don't get me wrong, I'm just saying it's not a game that you can play for long periods of times without getting bored. Just cause is another game like this one that is fun for short periods of time, but the side quests and missions begin to lose their appeal as they are very uninspired.
