For those who don't read the author's blogs, this was previously published as Erotic Interludes. McCray has changed the names of the characters for the first story, but everything else is the same.

The stories are HOT, HOT, HOT! But I'm glad I checked and realized I already had the 'first' edition.

This is the first book I have read by C. McCray and I have to say, overall, I enjoyed the three stories.

These are obviously fantasies and should be taken as such. No Dom or Sub should ever go to the "extremes" that these couples go to their first time together. It is the complete opposite of "safe and sane."

With that said, suspend disbelief, and enjoy them for what they are. Really nice kinky stories with characters that aren't damaged or, slightly pyschotic or imbeciles which, unfortunately, seem to be the type of characters that are in a lot of "menage" or "BDSM" books.(in my experience)

So, lay back and enjoy them.

I usually enjoy reading BDSM stories for a change of pace but for me the Hotness factor quickly diminished due to a lack of romance in these 3 stories. I found most of the sex scenes brutal rather than sexy and though these guys stated they "loved" these women, I did not feel the love. The way the guys got off on "punishing" these new trainees to the BDSM world just came of as demeaning rather than hot. Personally I think something is wrong with a guy Alpha or not who thinks he needs to punish a woman because she made him "hot for her" with a glance. To me this is not sexy, it smells of insecure male ego.

I'll stick to the writings of Maya Banks, Lora Leigh, & Jaci Burton for my step on the wild side. I need a bit of romance to go along with the hard core sex to keep it from seeming so cold and brutal.

"Sweet Surrender"

Sheila has been in love with her boss, Adamo Tassoni, for years. In love and speechless whenever he is near, Sheila fantasizes about being with him. When he sells the company and is not longer her boss, she is heartbroken at not seeing him any longer. When he tells her goodbye and she responds with what she thinks is a stupid answer, Sheila is mortified and sad. The man she loves, she will never see again and to her, that just isn't fair. When she gets home and a package is waiting for her, she dreams that it is coming from Adam. When her dream becomes a reality and Adam is waiting for her, Sheila wants to pinch herself. She does one thing better - she submits to the man of her dreams.

"Sweet Surrender" has been revamped and reedited and is just as wonderful now as it was when released by Ellora's Cave. Sheila's submission to Adam was breathtaking to watch and I could feel the emotional ties each felt for the other. The limo scene has yet to leave my mind and Sheila's surrender was oh so sweet.

"Wicked Surrender"

Looking forward to spending an erotic weekend surrendering control, Andi Kelly feels free. She is at an exclusive resort called, "The Bondage Club" to relax and have fun. When she spots a Dom talking to a sub and realizes he looks familiar she gasps and looks closer. The man she sees? One of her coworkers, Derrick Macintyre, and he is headed her way. Derrick has sexy Andi Kelly right where he wants her. And he wants her - submitting and under his control.

I love when coworkers aren't what they seem. In "Wicked Surrender", Andi and Derrick have to get along at work and are equals. At The Bondage Club, however, Derrick is the Dom and Andi is the sub and that is exactly what she needs. Each are attracted to the other but neither expect love. Passions reign high in their love scenes and I blushed more than once at Andi's "Wicked Surrender" to Derrick.

"Forbidden Surrender"

Corporate lawyer Teri Carter has spent so much time traveling from assignment to assignment that she can't even remember the last time she was with a man. Deciding enough is enough, she dresses to kill and heads to the hotel bar to scope out the men. Her secret fantasy is submitting to a stranger and she sees the perfect man. When that very man arrives at her table and proceeds to rock her world, Teri doesn't care how dangerous he could be. She wants him to show her exactly what it means to surrender, no matter how taboo or forbidden.

Oh my. "Forbidden Surrender" is one firecracker of a novella! Josh Williams, the hero of the story made me sweat. He was sexy and Dominant and I absolutely loved everything about him. Teri's surrender at his hands was intense and highly erotic. While neither thought beyond what would happen after their one night together, I love how Ms. McCray ultimately tied their live together.

Total Surrender is an amazing compilation of three naughty and risqué novellas by C. McCray. Craftily written and totally sizzling, these novellas rocked my world and made me blush. Nothing is too taboo in Total Surrender and I loved it!

"Sweet Surrender". Her former boss Adamo kept as far away from his administrative assistant Sheila as possible when they worked together though he fantasized about making love to her numerous times; she shared his sexual dreams. Neither acted on their libido as both ethically adhered to the firm's rules. However now that he sold the company, he can act on his desire. She will learn quickly he no longer plans to keep his distance.

"Wicked Surrender". On the surface Andi is a strong woman who hides her desire to be a submissive in the boudoir. She goes bondaging where she meets Derrick who wants to be her dominator in the bedroom.

"Forbidden Surrender". Lonely lawyer Teri dreams of lust as a submissive. On a business trip, Josh plans to make her surrender to him forever.

These three erotic "Surrender" BDSM tales star dominant males and submissive females coming together in heated tales. Sub-genre fans will enjoy the anthology as C. McCray provides a world of trusting surrender to a loving dominator although the author also states the novellas were previously published as similar versions in "Erotic Interludes" on line.

Sweet Surrender

Lovely little story. Complete fantasy, but still this was a cute, sexy story. I liked imagining what Adamo Tassoni's voice might sound like. Yummy! He is definitely the Dominant while Ms. Lane is most definitely the submissive but they don't really delve into the whole Master/slave thing, and they don't really do anything kinkier than spanking, light flogging, a vibrating panty set and public bathroom sex. My favorite story in this anthology. It was romantic, lighthearted, and kinky.

Wicked Surrender

Wow. Pretty advanced stuff for a novice. Suffice to say curious little Andi Kelly got a taste of the lifestyle with Derrick Macintyre working her over. This may squick out some readers. I had to quickly flip past a few pages because of the near vomiting urge I got when Andi and Derrick's happy twosome turned into a full blown orgy. F/F/F plus M/F/M. Plus I found it incestuous that Josh's pets are twins. As you can tell this short story packed a punch. Come was flying and tongues were lapping in this one. *hurl*

Forbidden Surrender

Teri Carter picked up one heck of a man at her hotel bar. Master Josh, from Wicked Surrender, and Teri indulge in some very erotic play. Not as outrageous as Wicked Surrender, but it was still pretty kinky. Especially when Josh pulled out his violet wand. Niiice.

These were very erotic stories as only Cheyenne McCray can write. The first story was pretty romantic, but the next two stories were almost straight erotica. At times Mis McCray was too much, even for me, and there were a few moments that didn't seem safe, or sane. But this is fiction, so it's okay, I guess.

The three stories here were all good fantasies and very hott and descriptive, but it did seem scary and harsh at times. After reading this I wouldnt want to be a Sub!!! Still, a great read and love comes out in the end! On to her next novel...

I enjoyed this book. There are times when I just want short stories.C. McCray is a new author for me and enjoyed her writing.

I am a big fan of Ms. McCray's Magic books and look forward eagerly to each one. They are wonderful. She brings the characters to life and you can get caught up easily in the story lines. So I always try her other stories because she is a gifted writer. However, this one is really nothing I can recommend. Sort of pornographic with no plot in any of the three stories. I'll stick to her Magic series from now on.
