**EDIT: My first review I gave it five stars b/c it worked great for a few weeks. I can't change the stars to one now, so I will just update my review summary. After about a month of use, we discovered the coating must not be that high of quality on the plates. I had major peeling off on the grill plates while making a panini. I contacted Koolatron and they sent replacement plates after I emailed them a copy of my receipt. However the replacement plates peeled again after a couple uses. Then the grand finale, THE MACHINE DIED ONE YEAR AFTER PURCHASE. Piece of junk.

My husband has wanted a sandwich maker for several years, and I have always said no because I hated how the food would slip into the cracks and you could never clean it thoroughly. I am so excited about this appliance because the plates are removable and you can get to any crack and crevice you want...for those insane cleaners like me!! And the perks are that we get 4 different plates! We've used 3 so far and they are all great! Thanks!

Do not buy this product.
I purchased this waffle iron because of the removable plates. The other 4 plates were an added bonus; however, it doesn't work. I made waffles and the waffles were soggy. Read more

Total crap..buyers beware
I bought this unit and thought will be good. It took 13 min to heat up a simple sandwitch and then entire outer surface gets heated so much. And it never worked after one time use. Read more

useless
This product fails to heat in the promised time. Pancakes and waffles don't brown. When I tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich, the cheese melted before the bread browned. Read more
