At first this seemed like it was a bit heavy. It is, but that makes it sturdy. I have used it to move a chair and couch from one room to another as well as gardening supplies, mulch and plants to the back yard. This is a versatile item that is handy to have. I wish I had one sooner.

I had a party for my 4 year old's birthday and this came in very handy! I moved all the supply's for 50 people including tables, chairs, and food. It make my life 10 times easier and saved my back from any strain at all! This must be the most useful product that has come out in years!

I use the Total Trolley for everything from trash duty to carrying my 1,600 CDs. We stack our 26 CD cases, weighing about 20 pounds a piece, on the cart and wheel it around with no problems. That's well over 500 pounds! I bought the collapsing cases, too. They are very handy for groceries, small items, etc. The ladder set-up is fast, easy, and very stable. I feel very safe standing on the TOP rung - fully allowed. The versatility is endless. We use it to move furniture, carry several large sacks of dog food, just about every lifting job I used to do manually, I now let the cart do it for me. This cart is well worth the cost, and then some. I have no idea how I managed without it!

My wife and I bought this after we saw the TV commercial. It was for her (she never used it), I already had a convertible hand truck that I used all the time. After my wife died I loaned it to my Daughter who was moving. When I went over to help her load the moving truck, I found her carrying out all of the boxes by hand. This is why, when you set it up to use as a hand truck it won't lock into place and stay that way. Also in this position it has too much free play and leans forward to the point that the slightest bump will cause it to fall over. I know because it crashed down on my shin. As for the Stepladder it may be ok if you don't weigh over 200 lbs, and the steps are narrow and I feel precarious when trying to use it. I would also caution anyone against purchasing an unrated ladder or step stool. When in the hand truck or dolly position I recommend that you be no more than five foot six, or you will find out very quickly if you have a strong lower back or not. I believe that It was not designed well for taller people. This item is headed for goodwill and another victim, I mean another unsuspecting customer.

This item does everything it promises - except the one thing I bought it for, to be a hand truck with the arm in the upright position as the picture in this ad clearly shows. Instead of a 90° position, the arm reclines at about 135°. Might work fine if you need a cart to pull items that will balance themselves on the flat bed, but I need a hand truck to transport broken down packing boxes. With the arm slanted rather than upright, the boxes just slide off.

I contacted the seller to see if I was misunderstanding the instructions. I was not. When I said that it would not work as advertised and therefore I needed to return it, I was told I would have to repack it in the original packing (which I don't have) and pay the shipping costs of the return (29 pounds and a very big box). So here I am with a trolley that does not perform as advertised, and that I'll probably have to try to sell on craigslist and eat the loss.

Was easy to put the wheels on. It does every thing the video says it can do.do. I use it for my Mobil DJ unit. Works GREAT!!!!!

I originally bought the Total Trolley off an infomercial about 10 years ago. I have had mine ever since. We have beat on this thing left and right and we can't kill it. I have moved my kids in and out of dorm rooms, apartments, you name it, for the last eight years. I have dragged the the trolley down cobble stone streets in Boston and thru back alleys in Philadelphia. It is simply one of the best moving devices we have ever owned. It also doubles nicely as a step ladder to help in hanging window shades in my daughters apartment. As I stated in the title, if you're moving your kids in and out of college (or wherever) you need get one of these. You won't regret it.

I use my Total Trolley for everything. Carting stuff around the house and yard, The ladder for painting and hanging stuff, I even used it to bring a sleeper sofa into the house. I have used it in each of it's forms I don't know at least 100 times. I am presently using it to move my Grandmother from one end of her building she lives in to the other end and I love it. Best money well spent and I have looked to get one for loved ones and I can't find them anymore. What a shame it's the best thing

I specifically bought this item to cart my art equipment from car to venue. I can load several canvases, easel, art supplies and other
equipment and reduce the trips to my car. Not only can it be used as a trolley, but can also double as a step ladder. It is easy to roll around and when not in use can be stored flat and out of the way.

great for moving items of all sizes. not ideal for rough surfaces like outoors with a lot of gravel. the ladder feature is very handy. it saves a lot of extra trips to the truck.
