Much Better than a lot of magazines you see now!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Total Yu-Gi-Oh (Hardcover)
I saw this book at the store. It looked really detailed so I bought it.It has bios from the manga & anime. It has reviews of cartoons that were never shown in the U.S. And there's a ton of cool stuff about the CCG. There's a lot of Top 10 Lists & Killer Decks. About 80 pages of this book deal with the Card Game. There's also stuff on the Video Games. I'm not a big fan of 3D, but the book does have eight 3D images & 3D glasses inside. All in all, if you are into the YuGiOh anime, manga, or Card Game. This book is a must have. It's a great resource! I learned a lot about the history of YuGiOh that we might not ever see in the U.S.

If you are looking for a particular subject ONLY, you might be disappointed. However, if you are looking for general coverage with very good coverage in each area, this is a very good book. You are introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh characters and given details about their personalities. You are given good card / deck intros and strategies. You are given a list of cards with their attributes and descriptions. All of it is easy reading and written well in proper English. Definitely a gotta-get for Yu-Gi-Oh fans.

It's dated (2002) and therefore incomplete. However, it is still a decent source of information. That does not mean it is not without its flaws. First of all, it is plagued by certain misspellings and grammatical errors, typos that can for the most part be forgiven. One problem I cannot overlook, though, is the fact that Ryou Bakura's bio does not have a profile picture; in its stead is a picture of the Ishtars (Marik, Ishizu, and Odion). While I must admit it is a cool pic, it does no justice to Ryou or Yami Bakura, nor does Odion have a bio of his own (my poor guys). I learned some new things but got bored after a little while. Otherwise, the sections on the card game and video games themselves are standard and decent. As for the 3-D pages, don't make me laugh. If you're desparate for a Yu-Gi-Oh! fix, buy this. If you're not really sure, then save your money and hope that the "Mysteries and Secrets Revealed!" series decides to write an installment on it.

I liked this book very much. My favorite part was the character bios. The "Killeer Deck" wasnt as cool as I thought it would've been though.
