I was going to velcro the Roku to the back of the tv and then found this. Easy to attach (multiple options), and keeps the box out of the way while maintaining accessibility, However,my ROKU LT is not able to be controlled with it on the back of the tv. The IR signal will not work. Just a thought to anyone else out there that may be wanting to use this product in the same mannor as I had intended.

I purchased this since it indicated it was compatible with the roku 3 according to Innovelis. It is but is not perfect like the model for the roku 2 one I have. When I put my roku 3 in this one the little roku tag has to be pushed in for the roku to set all the way down in the holder. The usb port on the other side is not accessible completely, to attach a usb drive or usb cable you will have to pick up on the roku 3 just a little bit to attach a usb device. The tray still works basically for all intented purposes. I doublt innovelis will make a new version just for the roku 3 and apparently the roku mounting system on the roku site is not compatible with the roku 3 according to a roku customer support rep.

fits perfectly behind my T.V... i have it sort of peek-a-booing over the top edge so that i can still see it and so that it can communicate with the remote. if it's low on your tv and if you can't see it, you're going to have remote issues. while i think it could drop in price by a few dollars, it is a convenient little gadget add-on so I'm happy with buying it.

I am now using the universal TotalMount on my 2 LG LED tv's, one with a Roku 2XS and the other with my new Roku 3. It works great in both setups. I have it vent-mounted just slightly below the top edge on the tv back and you don't see it when facing the tv. Each Roku remote works fine (including the headphones with the Roku 3 remote).
...
I found the Roku 2XS to be a perfect fit. For the Roku 3, I simply followed the kit instructions to gently slide the side walls apart for an easier fit. You can expand the width up to ½ in, if needed. Also, if you use the USB port on the Roku 3, you will want to raise the Roku device slightly for easier access. I put a couple of adhesive-backed felt dots left over from a craft project in the bottom of the mount and that raised the Roku just enough to cleanly access the USB port.
...
You can affix the TotalMount using 1 of the 3 available options:
(A) attach it to your tv vents (3 different sets of hooks are provided for tv's with vertical, horizontal, or circular vents)
(B) if tv is already wall-mounted, you can attach it to your tv mount using the 2 bands included in the kit
(C) if neither Option A or B works for you, you can screw the TotalMount to the wall with the 2 screws that are provided (on a wall that does not have wires or pipes).
...
All options indicate that the TotalMount must be placed within 6 inches of the top of the tv.
If using Option C, it must be screwed to the wall so that you can see the Roku when using the remote.
Also, in all setups, the HDMI connection must face the floor (place Roku device so that HDMI cable & power cord exits the bottom of the mount).
...
It's a very quick setup and a great solution for reducing clutter.

I just received this mounting unit along with my Roku 2 XD, purchased together. I couldn't be happier with this purchase (and the Roku, of course). Someone had their thinking cap on when they designed this clever Roku mount which tucks everything away out of sight on the back side of the television. The remote signal bounces off the wall behind the television to the concealed Roku and works no less efficiently than if the remote were pointed directly at a Roku in plain view. (I was a little doubtful that the remote would work with the Roku mounted out of sight, but it works perfectly. Who knew?)

Included with the bracket which holds the Roku mount are a selection of plastic clips of different types to attach the mount to the television vents. They are: 2 pairs for vertical vents, 2 pairs for horizontal vents, 2 pairs for round vents. Only one pair is needed to secure the mount in place, so nice to have extras. There are also two velcro straps for fastening the Roku mount to the metal bracket of a wall-mounted TV if you prefer. If for some reason the Roku can't read the bounced signal from the remote (though I can't imagine what that reason would be), there are two nice long screws for fastening the mount to the wall (in sight) rather than the back of the TV.

There's really no "installation" as such. Just choose a pair of clip on hangers, depending on the configuration of the vents on the back of your television and "hang" the Roku mount (with Roku) from the TV. There's also a pamphlet of detailed instructions explaining everything, just in case you're a "read the directions first" person.

That's it. You're done. And the best part is that there's not yet another piece of TV paraphernalia cluttering up the joint.

UPDATE: I ordered a second one of these when I upgraded to Roku 3 on two TVs. Works even better, if that's possible, on the newer model Roku. It completely conceals the whole Roku box and you don't have to worry about placement to bounce the signal to the box. With Roku 3, you just press the button on the remote, no worries about pointing at the box or the wall. THAT took some getting used to.

I just used a 2" strip of Velcro. Saved $15 and I can mount it wherever and however I want.

You might say this is an expensive item for a small plastic box and clips, but you cannot deny that this makes for a clean, professional installation of a Roku Series 2 media streamer to the back of your HDTV. It comes with sveral styles of plastic mounting clips to attach it to the vents at the top of the TV. In my case, this did not work due to the curved nature and spacing of the vents on my Toshiba unit. The solution was to purchase some Scotch heavy duty Velcro mounting strips (also from Amazon) to make everything right. The Roku unit slides in easily with full cable access in case of service or adjustments. Very satisfied with the finished results!

This should have come with the ROKU. I had to buy it. It was not expensive. It just works. Nobody knows where the Roku is but me and those I confide in.
