I've owned this bamboo cutting board for a year, and it's simply amazing. Absolutely no warping, and almost no cutting marks penetrate its extra-hard surface. Wiping it down with a damp cloth is all it takes to keep it clean (with a little soap when extra dirty). And here's a trick to keep it in place: place a piece of anti-slip shelf liner a bit smaller than the cutting board under the board. It will not move at all, no matter how much you're chopping. Enjoy!

I was pleasantly surprised. The craftmanship of this board is better than I thought it would be. I was skeptical about the "harder than maple" claim, but we've used it a lot and it still looks brand new. It's definitely a cut above our maple board.

It looks as good as the picture, but the colors are a little more muted. It measures 12" x 15" x 1.44" and weighs in at about 6.6 lbs.

Nice quality board. I highly recommend it.

This is a very nice cutting board, attractive, heavy dense wood. May slide around on you if you're cutting something big, I use a rubber shelf liner underneath to prevent sliding. I'd recommend this cutting board.

Great cutting board! The best I've ever owned. It doesn't dull my knives like ones I have had in the past.

At 1-1/2" thick, this is sufficient for fairly serious chopping of poutry and semi-frozen roasts. A towel underneath keeps the board from sliding around.
Our household cuisine is Chinese, and our cooking procedure includes chopping fresh whole chicken and duck, as well as mincing pork and beef by hand on the board, using a fairly heavy cleaver.
After 5 months of maybe 3-times-a-week use, the board is very clean and shows only superficial marks.
We wash right after every use, under running warm water, with just a very little Dawn dishsoap and a gentle touch of a 3M scrub sponge. Oiled with light food grade mineral oil once a week. Hand dried well and stored standing on long edge.

I have worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and I like to think I know my around a kitchen.
This board looks beautiful and has some "heft" to it. I use very sharp kitchen tools, knives, cleavers etc.This board show almost no marks on the surface.
This board cleans up nice and easy. If you are into cooking and are in need of a solid and good looking cutting board, you should look at this one.
I was torn between the thick and the thin cutting board, thick won.
I have never tried a Bamboo cutting board prior to this one, maple was good enough. NOT ANYMORE!
This board, as all cutting boards I owned, shifts a little, less than the thin cutting boards, so I use some "no slip" rug pad material. Works great.

I give this board an A+.

I got this cutting board last Xmas. Loved it for 6 months... until it started cracking at the seams. Now there's a millimeter crack in one corner. I emailed Totally Bamboo to ask for a replacement. They told me since I did not purchase it directly from them (my husband bought it through Amazon), they could not help me even though it's clearly their product - I emailed them a photo of the crack and the "Totally Bamboo" logo burned into the side of the board. If Totally Bamboo is going to take food away from panda bears, they should at least produce quality bamboo products.

I just bought this and it's really beautiful, which was a consideration when I was shopping for a good cutting board. Seems durable and well made. I plan to rub some light mineral oil on it, to bring out the color. It's so good looking that I will leave it on my counter, leaned up against the wall.

Update: Oct 2009:
Had it a few months now, with frequent use. Still holding up GREAT. I oil it every now and then with light mineral oil from the drugstore (much less expensive than "cutting board oil" which is exactly the same thing) and it looks like new, aside from a few minor stains. Washes clean very easily. Can't recommend it enough.

ive always used a plastic cutting board, and this bamboo board was an eye opener. cutlery does not skip and dance over the surface, and food doesnt move around at all. highly recommend it!

It's a large block of bamboo which has been very kind to my Shun knives. The block is easy to clean and manage. It dries very quick after washing. Just like any other bamboo board, you have to maintain it with mineral oil protect it from water and the elements. The size and look of the board fits very nicely with my kitchen.
