"Totally Hits 2002" will be better., April 19, 2002
This review is from: Totally Hits 2001 (Audio CD)
... There are still some good songs on this CD, ... "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" - Blu Cantrell. This song was very overplayed last summer, but it's still a good R&B song. I like the beat and Blu's voice; this song has a very powerful message. 4/5 "Peaches And Cream" - 112. Never really liked this song. It's okay, but I'm not really into 112. Another very overplayed song. 1/5 "Fallin'" (Remix featuring Busta Rhymes) - Alicia Keys. The original was so much better, even though it got very overplayed. I don't know why they had to use a remix, because it just ruined the song. 0/5 (for the Busta Rhymes remix) 4/5 (for the original version) "Get UR Freak On" - Missy Elliott. Much better than the remix with Nelly Furtado. I do like rap music, but I'm not a hardcore rap fan. This is still an okay song though...I really like the beat of it. 3/5 "Bad Boy For Life" - P. Diddy, Black Rob & Mark Curry. Don't care for this song. I like P. Diddy, but this is not his best song. I usually skip this track. 1/5 "This Is Me" (Remix featuring Kain) - Dream. Dumb remix, but I like the original. Another track on this CD that I usually skip. 0/5 (for the remix) and 5/5 (for the original version) "U Remind Me" - Usher. I love this R&B song! Usher is awesome, and this is one of his best songs yet. Never gets old, even though they totally overplayed it. 5/5 "All Or Nothing" - O-Town. Another song that I love. O-Town is awesome, despite that they are a Boy Band. One of my favorites, a beautiful love ballad. 5/5 "Here's To The Night" - Eve 6. An okay Rock ballad. This is a good last-song-of-the-night song for a school dance or Prom. It kind of got overplayed and got boring after a while. 4/5 "Follow Me" - Uncle Kracker. Definitely an overplayed song! I like the beat, but it's very overplayed and kind of tiring to listen to. 3/5 "Every Other Time" - LFO. Great Pop song! Yes, this is a Pop song. Yes, LFO is a Boy Band. But I gotta admit that I love this song! 5/5 "When It's Over" - Sugar Ray. "Answer The Phone" is a better song, but this is still pretty good. 4/5 "I Wanna Be Bad" - Willa Ford. I don't like Willa Ford too much, but I've gotta admit this is a catchy song. One of the best Pop songs on this CD. 5/5 "I Do!!" - Toya. A great R&B song perfect for clubs and for dancing. This was not an overplayed song, so it hasn't gotten old yet. 5/5 "So Fresh, So Clean" - OutKast. I was never a huge fan of OutKast, but I guess this rap song is okay. Original, most definitely...but I have no idea what it's supposed to be about. 2/5 "What's Your Fantasy?" (featuring Shawna) - Ludrcris. Nasty lyrics, but catchy song. I don't know why I like this song, but I do. It's hands down, a rap song. And definitely not for children. I guess I really like the beat of the song. 3/5 "Fill Me In" - Craig David. Overplayed R&B song, but still a good one. I like "7 Days" and his new single, "Walking Away" more than this one, but this is a good song. 4/5 "Thank You" - Dido. Great soft Pop song! I love the beat and lyrics and Dido has a good voice. 5/5 ... TOTALLY HITS 2001 was a good CD, ... If you like a variety in your music tastes, then I recommend TOTALLY HITS 2001. Buy it today, ... This was a great CD!

A Good CD for a Party, March 12, 2002
This review is from: Totally Hits 2001 (Audio CD)
Totally Hits 2001 is a good compilation cd to bring to a party. Most the songs have good beats to get your groove on to. Here's a rated list of the songs on the album: 1.Blu Cantrell- Hit 'em Up Style (Oops) *4/5 When I first heard this song, I didn't like it. But it's grown on me. It has a catchy chorus and a good beat. 2. 112- Peaches & Cream *4/5 This song has an awesome, funky, hip-hop beat, but the lyrics are stupid. 3. Missy Elliot- Get Ur Freak On *5/5 This song rocks! It has a such a good beat to dance to. This is proabably one of my favorites on the cd. 4. Alicia Keys- Fallin' (remix) FEATURING BUST RHYMES *2/5 Folks, the original version was WAY better. I normally skip this song. 5. P. Diddy, Black Rob & Mark Curry- Bad Boy For Life *3/5 This song is ok... I don't like rap that much but this song i ok. Typical rap song. 6. Dream- This Is Me *2/5 Again I say, listen to the original version. It is much better. 7. Usher- U Remind Me *5/5 This is a great r&b song that will get stuck in your head for a long time, "u remind me of a girl..." 8. O-Town- All or Nothing *3/5 This song is ok. I not really into the whole *Nsync or Backstreet scene, but I know a lot of people that do. This is a song for the teen girls. This song isn't for me. 9. Eve 6- Here's to the Night *3/5 Umm..this is a soft rock song. It's kinda boring though. I normally skip over it. 10. Uncle Kracker- Follow Me *1/5 Oh my gosh, I am soo sick of this song I could scream my head off. They play it WAY too much on the radio, and it's a very annoying song. Skip this one! 11. LFO- Every Other Time *3/5 This is another one of those poppy boy band songs. Dumb song. LFO tries to act sorta like rappers, but they fail each time. 12. Sugar Ray- When It's Over *4/5 This is a good rock song, perfromed by Mark McGrath, just don't play it too much, or it will get boring and annoying. 13. Willa Ford- I Wanna Be Bad *5/5 This is one of the few pop songs that I thoroughly enjoyed. This song has such an awesome beat, you'll wanna get up and start dancing! One of my favoriteson the album. 14. Toya- I Do!! *4/5 This song is another good r&b song that has a good beat. But not the best on the cd. 15. Outkast- So Fresh, So Clean *2/5 I dont know about you, but I personally don't like Outkast. I think they are stupid and annoying, but I know a lot of people like this song, but it's not for me. 16. Ludacris- What's Your Fantasy FEATURING SHAWNA *4/5 This rap song will get stuck in your head. It has a very hip beat, but some of the lyrics I wouldn't recommend to younger children. 17. Craig David- Fill Me In *3/5 This song is ok. It's another typical r&b song. I like "7 Days" better. 18. Dido- Thank You *4/5 This is a great song to end this cd to. A nice mellow song that will saranate you with Dido's pretty, yet soft voice. These are what I think of the songs on Totally Hits 2001. I hope this helps you! Some of the songs are good, but some are pretty bad. I recommend this cd to those who like pop/hip-hop. Hope this helps!
