This book is very humorous. It brings to mind many of the bits of life I have lived. The best part is that it is not isolated issues. In addition, the sketches add a great deal to the total humor. I just happened to come across it in the library. Such a treat. Thank you for brightening my days.

I have had very depressed and/or bitter patients who break out laughing in the reception room after 3-5 minutes of reading this book. I mean tears coming out in a cathartic relief.
My own "Ashleigh Brilliant" is:
"I like you so much I miss you even when I'm with you".

This remarkable collection gathers dozens of the humorist's "Pot-Shots"--illustrated sayings once sold as postcards--and arranged vaguely by topic. Brilliant is a superb epigramist, and these unique pieces are a real joy.

I've known the author for many years. Need I say, his work is "Brilliant". And he hides nothing. Read the 1st Chapter, "How do I do". He admits in print, he was expelled from Russia, arrested in Madrid for not wearing correct attire, arrested in Cape Town, SA, In 1967 was publicly defamed by the San Francisco Examiner and called a "Hippie", and to top it all off, Patty Hearst once told Ashleigh, "you must be out of your mind, but I love it".
Mr. Brilliant has the happy ability to write witty little epigrams 17 words or less and make people think, smile and reflect. And they pay him money for more of his epigrams to feed their need. " I may not be totally perfect but parts of me are excellent" is a book you will thumb thru and find something that will tickle your fancy. And the fact that I'm recomending this book has nothing to do with the fact that he's is distantly related to me on my mother's side of the family. I went to his 82nd birthday party and another cousin catered the event. All those present enjoyed his work to no end. See the smiles on our faces to back that up.
