Cute show -- Charlie's Angels for Kids, September 3, 2004
This review is from: Totally Spies - First Secret Missions (DVD)
At the beginning of the summer, I started watching this Cartoon Network show with my five year old son and eight year old niece, and I was hooked from the beginning. Alex, Sam, and Clover are three teenaged high school girls who deal with the pressures of dating, fashion, school, and being spies. They work for W.O.O.H.P. (The World Organization of Human Potential), are supervised by a cool Brit named Jerry, and literally fall into their assignments at the most unexpected moments. The show is beautifully animated and the writing is superbly clever, funny, and age-appropriate. I plan to buy all three dvd's because this show is great. If you've got children, they'll love it, and you will, too, because you can sit with them and become engrossed in it.

If you like the TV series, you'll like the DVD, June 23, 2004

This review is from: Totally Spies - First Secret Missions (DVD)
This is the first DVD of the cartoon series "Totally Spies". It contains the following episodes: 001 A Thing for Musicians; 002 Queen for a Day; 003 The New Jerry; and 025 A Spy is Born - Part 1. The DVD provides a good crooss section of the show. The best episode here is 025 A Spy is Born - Part 1. The buyer of this DVD should be aware that this is a bare bones DVD -- no extras. What is on the VHS tape is EXACTLY what is contained on the DVD. There isn't even any cross promotional information on future releases or other available products. The lack of extras on the DVD cost this 0.5 to 1 stars in my rating.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Totally Spies - First Secret Missions (DVD)
This is one of my favorite TV shows, but does it come on TV anymore? If they did stop showing it, I think they should keep showing it on TV. My friends and I like this show and we even pretend we're Sam, Clover, and Alex sometimes. I own 3 DVDs and some of the books. Sam is my favorite character. Cartoon Network started showing several new boys' shows so they might have stopped showing it. I think they should keep showing it, especially since they have almost no girls' shows now. They should've cancelled something that no one watches anymore instead of this. It was really popular a few months ago, wasn't it? I used to watch it almost every afternoon. Now all I see is the 12 episodes they have on DVD but I would like to see all the other episodes too. Maybe they do show it sometime, but I looked through the TV guide newspaper thing and it wasn't in it at all. Do any other channels show it, too? P.S. Several people have said that this show is for dumb people but I am in the class for smart kids at my school and I watch it. My friends watch it and even though they aren't in the class they aren't dumb either. P.P.S. I don't mind that they made it look like anime. I don't like anime anyway.
