Christian counselors agree that the Bible's message of salvation can radically change lives. Scripture can lead even the most unlikely people to faith but when it comes to everyday problems – is the Bible really enough?
Here we have more than a dozen highly trained counselors, medical experts and pastors who are highly respected in their fields. Every one has at least one doctorate relevant to the area they examine in this book. Their answers to the question stated above are enlightening, thought provoking and surprising.

This review is from: Totally Sufficient (Paperback)
It is common for those who desire to know more about God's Holy Word to become incumbered with commentaries and methodologies that ultimately stray away from Biblical principles. As a result we become academically astute, and theological weaklings. Totally sufficient is a defiant challenge to revisit the basic tenant of God's Word. The book's thesis is " God has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue."
2 Peter 1:2,3. This is a must read for all who have wavered or become less than courageous and confident in the sufficiency of God's Holy Word, and it's application to every aspect of life.
Doctors Hinson and Eyrich have penned an essential Biblical work.
This book is not for the shelf, it's for the hip pocket of pastor, teacher, counselor. Totally Sufficient promotes a surge of confidence in the original "How to" Book

4.0 out of 5 stars Valuable, thorough, - bit wordy, September 10, 2007

I know - said a book is a "bit wordy" seems like an oxymoron. It's not.

The author has laid out a powerful guide for counselors with backup, research, and biblical foundation. So to him - thank you.

There were times when reading this that I found myself wanting to skip to the next section because the author seemed to drone on a bit from time to time. No particular example - just sharing my thoughts as I read it.

Overall though, this book should be on the shelf of any professional who counsels Christians - whether they are or not.

Well done.

This book uses noted authors in the field to discuss a wide range of issues in counseling and how the biblical counselor may look at them consistently from a biblical worldview.
