About the Author
Like many skilled fiber artists, Marty Miller was taught sewing and needlework by her grandmother. Only in Marty's case, her European-born grandmother didn't read English, so she taught five-year-old Marty to crochet without a pattern. When the "green" movement came along a while later, Marty was inspired to design her own reusable tote bags in crochet. Marty is a past president of the Crochet Guild of America, and she was recently nominated for the Flamie Lifetime Achievement Award in crochet. She teaches at CGOA conferences and does technical editing for several crochet magazines and independent publishers.
