4.0 out of 5 stars Tiny is the key word
I bought this for my 17 month old son who is a little tall for his age. I couldn't wait for him to try it out, but he just seemed too big for it. His legs were so bent, he had trouble trying to push it. Although the age specified is 1 to 3, if you have a taller child, you might want to try a bigger trike. We gave it to his 1 year old cousin and its perfect for him...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Disappointment
This is a beautifully made bike but is too small for my 18 month old grandson. His legs are too bent for him to be able to move the bike with his feet. Perhaps you should have different heights available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just the right size for little ones, December 10, 2000

We bought this trike for my son when he was a year old. After buying several other ride on toys that were too high, we finally found the perfect size. My son loves it and still rides it at 3! It still looks new after two and a half years! If you are looking for a safe indoor ride on toy that won't put a hole in your wall or mark your floors this is the one. We highly recommend it.

When my grandson tore off the wrapping paper & climbed on to the tiny trike for the first time his face absolutely glowed. He loves to push along with his feet and yell "VROOM VROOM". The real wood quality construction insures that his newborn sister will have great fun with this toy when she is old enough. This is a toy that you know can be passed from child to child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radio Flyer Tiny Trike, November 6, 2000
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: A Tot's Push-along Version of the Traditional Tricycle (Toy)
Our two very active and agile little boys love the Radio Flyer trike. When our 18-month-old wakes up from his nap, his first word is usually, "Motorbike," referring to the Radio Flyer trike. He and our nearly-three-year-old do battle every day over who will ride and / or who owns the Radio Flyer trike.

Our older son is very tall for his age but races around the house on the trike without any difficulty just as he has done since he first learned to ride it. I highly recommend the trike for active, agile little boys.

I can't imagine our boys without their Radio Flyer trike. Our English friends often ask where they can buy one. As far as I know, it's only available in the U.S. Radio Flyer would do well to start selling it in the U.K.

We love this little trike. It's been the perfect size for our 12-24 month olds (we've had four now)... and someone else must have thought it was perfect too, because it was taken from our front yard when we left it out. So now we're getting another one for the youngest. It's sturdy and smooth and never lets your child lose control of it. It's great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Toddler Magic!, May 2, 2001

Our son received this trike as a hand-me-down when he was about 9 months old. It has been one of his favorite things ever since, in a number of different ways. Though obviously too young to ride it at first, he spent endless hours spinning the wheels (we taped paper "spokes" on them to make the spinning more obvious)- a most satisfying obsession it seemed! Later he started riding it, with a huge grin & much excitement, free-wheeling through the kitchen shouting "WHEEEE!" Now that the weather is better it has become his All Terrain Vehicle for the yard & garden. So, a whole-hearted recommendation from us on all counts!

Safe, high quality ride-on. Good alternative to ever present plastic. Attractive enough for inside the house.

This is a really neat trike for those who are sick of plastic and like retro-style and real wood on their toys. We've given this to our Godson and bought one for our son. Both love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars My two year-old loves this trike!, April 20, 2003

My two year-old son and I love this trike! We have tried many different ride-on toys, and all of them were either too wide, too tall, or too tipsy. But this one is perfect! My son wants to do everything while sitting on his tiny trike--he just doesn't want to get off of it! We have had it for about two months, and it has taken quite a beating, but it still looks like new and works perfectly. My son is 37 inches tall, so I was afraid he might be too tall for this trike, but that doesn't seem to be the case. He has no trouble riding it at all, and when he does occaisionally wreck on it, he doesn't have far to fall! I highly recommend this!
