A FAVORITE BOOK! January 16, 2012
By Cathy
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Touch the Sun will bring you in contact with some of your favorite characters from previous books.

This is my all-time Favorite Book. Lion Hampshire has planned his future out without any thoughts to Love. Due to his reputation of a rake, Lion must marry quickly so he agrees to an arranged marriage. Meagan is the daughter of a wealthy Virginia planter, who has lost her wealth to pay the debts of her parents. She schemes to become the maid of her best friend, Pricilla Wade,so that she doesn't have to go live with her spinster aunt. It just so happens that Priscilla agrees to an arranged marriage with Lion Hampshire. Priscilla is vain, whiny, and a bit spoiled. Meagan and Lion are thrown together to create a maddening entertaining read. You will laugh from page to page as Meagen puts Lion through several lessons about love.

Prominent figures in history, such as George Washington, and Benjamin Franklin play some endearing roles in this book.

Cynthia Wright's novels are always a pleasure to read as an historical and romantic value. The best of the best, don't miss this one!

Wonderful Read! September 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
An absolutely wonderful read. Even the second time around.
Lion is a misguided hero with an ambitious ill choreographed plan to achieve a seat in the budding nations Congress.
Formerly a headstrong free-spirit with wealth to spare, the lovely and destitute Meagan hatches a wild scheme to pose as a lady's maid to her best friend.
Match one eye on the prize man with one nothing left to lose woman and what do they get...? Electric chemistry...sleepless nights...clandestine meetings...hearts and heads in turmoil.
Meagan steamrolls through Lion's life and blows it asunder. He begins to question everything he thought he wanted while struggling to stick to his goals.
Poor, poor Lion, luckily he gets his priorities in order after Meagan shows him the way.

Beautiful Story November 2, 2007
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I read this book in the early 1980's and it was one of the best books set in my favorite era the American Revolution.

Megan Sayers is a young idealistic 18 yr old who meets her match in dashing ambitious 30ish Lion Hampshire who aspires to have a seat in the new Congress.

I don't want to give anything away but Cynthia Wright takes you on a magical journey of these two falling in love and fighting it every step of the way and lessons vaulable lessons on life and love are learned on the journey.

I highly recommend getting this book you will not be able to put it down and author Cynthia Wright also brings in George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, among other Revolutionary figures and teaches you some great history lessons.

More About the Author

"Romance the way it was meant to be," raves Kathe Robin of Romantic Times Magazine about Cynthia Wright's 13 "classic" historical romances.
A reader says: "Her warm, adventurous, loving stories match Kathleen Woodiwiss in sensuality, but have a wholesome sweetness and zest all their own."

Cynthia Wright launched her career as a bestselling novelist with the publication of CAROLINE, when she was twenty-three. She went on to write 12 more beloved and acclaimed historical romances set in Colonial America, Regency England & America, Medieval England & France, and the American West. Seven of these, the intertwined Raveneau Novels and Beauvisage Novels, have special places on the keeper shelves of readers around the world.

Cynthia's novels have won many awards from Romantic Times and Affaire de Coeur, but her favorites are messages from readers like this one: "Your books show love the way you want your own relationship to be: real AND romantic!" After taking a break from writing for several years, Cynthia is excited to be back as an "indie" author, bringing all 13 of her novels back as eBooks (newly edited, with gorgeous new covers!). She will also release a new Raveneau novel, TEMPEST, in 2012.

Today, Cynthia lives in northern California with her husband, Alvaro, in a 1930's Spanish cottage. When they aren't riding their tandem road bike or traveling in their 1959 vintage airstream, she loves spending time with her family, especially her two young grandsons. Cynthia is also a college student who says, "It's never too late to re-write the story of your own life!"
