5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic album, July 16, 2006

This review is from: Touch of Class (Audio CD)
"Touch of Class" is simply a brilliant album. From the Dylanesque title track to the Muse style Intro, this album is a collection of rock songs that never go wrong. There is no weak song on the album. The songs range from the lyrically deep "Make It To Forever" to the radio/listener friendly "Everywhere With Me."

Personally, I think the best song on here was "Please God Change." This track blends hard rock vocals, heavy drums, and powerful bass lines with poignant lyrics in a way that I've heard few bands pull off as succesfully as Navar has.

This CD is a must own for anyone who has ears.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock Band Built From The Ground Up, August 5, 2005
This review is from: Touch of Class (Audio CD)
I've been to see Navar twice in concert. Each time, I didn't get to sleep until three or four o'clock in the morning because of the rush their music drives through you. And this album has the SAME effect, whether you're listening to it straight through or just listening to your favorites. Navar does NOT disappoint any rock fan, whether you like a good story song, a little romance or just to rock out.

The boys of navar do it again! The third album from one of the best unsigned bands ever is their best work to date! It blends alternative with, old fashioned rock and alittle r&b as well, if you are a fan of bands like our lady peace and the goo goo dolls buy this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars R&B meets alternative rock!, July 29, 2005
This review is from: Touch of Class (Audio CD)
TOUCH OF CLASS makes a marriage of alternative rock with R&B in this the third cd created entirely by NAVAR; from writing lyrics, composing music and even recording the final product.
Singer songwriter Pat Barry pulls out all the stops once again and says "I think I can" as confidantly as the little engine that could taking on even more this time around with the added recording duties.
Brother Ben Barry shares his talent for writing, providing the lyrics for two of the songs on the cd, including the song title offering TOUCH OF CLASS; a song inspired by the Barry's grandparents' real life tales and debuts their Dad Tom Barry on back up.
The clarity, the variety, the sultry sounds Barry brings to life in this collection of autobiography influenced tunes makes it the best of the best and puts NAVAR in a new league, maybe even in a class by themselves...with TOUCH OF CLASS.
