Customer Reviews

Works like a wide tip marker.
T. Alexander
Also if you sweat and use a towel to wipe your face/hair, the color will come off and stain your towel.

Really works to cover the gray, which means a longer time between professional hair coloring.

TouchBack Marker is the best solution I've found to those pesky areas at the temples that will not hold hair color more than a couple of weeks. Long before the rest of my hair needs a touch up, the temples and places right in front are back to gray. This little item does the job nicely and extends the time one may go between hair coloring. It's expensive, but Amazon has a good price. The going rate on the maker's website is $29.95. Shop around or use discount coupons, and you might get it for less, but Amazon is the best price I've seen. I have medium brown hair and the light brown color matched perfectly at the temples and bangs, since they are always a lighter area than the hair on the back of my head. You may want to choose one shade lighter than what your primary, underneath shade is to get a good match on the first try. If the marker holds color for awhile, this will be my new primary method of touch ups. If it dries up quickly, I'll go back to using Joan Rivers Beauty Great Hair Day Fill In Powder w/Brush from QVC, which is actually designed to use on the scalp where hair is thinning, but I use on the hair itself. It costs $29.95, just like normal retail on the TouchBack marker, but the product lasts a long time, even though it washes out at each shampooing. I've had one compact for well over a year, and no sign of it being empty yet. With my hair color, the Blonde shade in Joan Rivers matches perfectly.(Her colors run really dark.) Thanks to Dr. Oz for telling us about the TouchBack Marker on his show.

I like this product. Much neater that using mascara or color crayon. I just recently ordered two more!

This is temporary hair dye encapsulated in what appears to be a marker. I bought this to touch up my boyfriend's beard. It goes on easily enough, just be aware that the "marker" tip is wide, so doing the smaller areas of his goatee was a bit tricky. I just turned the "marker" on its side and used short strokes. I realize this product is really for touching up roots on one's head, but it did do the trick on his beard. I would run a comb through his beard once I was finished. He thought the medium brown color was more like a dark brown color though so perhaps one should consider ordering this product one shade lighter.

I have tried so many products to camouflage the small but mighty areas of my hair, which are of course right in the front--nothing worked. Touchback was the correct color, it covers the offending roots, and I'm on my way!!!

This does work. Looks the most natural of all the root covers I have tried, and I've tried many. This product is a bit over priced because it doesn't last long (12 cover ups)

I felt that this product did what the product maker proclaimed that it would do. I does however lighten with combing of the hair as well as with washing. A note of advice...if your hair is between colors go with the lighter color.

In the picture it shows a thick marker but it is actually a smaller applicator so it takes longer to put on. If you have many gray areas it takes some time to cover them all but it does cover the gray once on.

It works ok. It does rub off if you brushed or touch. Doesn't flake off as claimed.
Doesn't cover gray roots that well. You have to keep applying. Works like how mascara would anyway.
So why pay more?
