Like Emily better than Lee,

Thought tha I liked Lee from book one, but didn't like her so much in this book. She has a small role, but thought that she would / should have a better relationship with Emily (her sister). For all of close family ties, yada yada yada - most of the family really don't take the time to understand or know who Emily really is. Forcing her to come home, not cool.
Very happy with Emily and her progression thru this story. Espcially enjoyed her friendship with the Queen of the Fae. Biggest detraction of this book is the shallow development of the Dark Fae and the Demon Lord. The used car salesman image was totally weird and pushed this out of the top slot for review. A little more development of Fae culture would have also been nice. They have all of these magic abilities, but they are not really explained or what price, if any, is required for having / using them. Other than the Queens favorites / advisors, don't have much of a sense about what they do all day. Overall liked Con's character and his ability to allow (even push) Em to be herself 24/7 in front of everyone.

Touch of Fae,
This review is from: A Touch of Fae (Witches Knot Book 2) (Paperback)
Emily Chavez is a respected member of the supernatural community. An empathic witch and a magical scholar, Em, as she is known to family and friends, specializes in
researching and studying magical books. Because of her bookish ways, those around her see Em as timid and shy. Dissatisfied by her image, Em begins to change her family's perception of her. Her first rebellion is to travel alone to England against their wishes. In an effort to protect the Compact that the Chavez witches are bound by, Em is on the hunt for a book,The Shifting Veil. In the wrong hands, this book can not only shatter the Compact, it can eliminate the powers gifted to the Chavez witches. Conchobar MacNessa is a warrior and advisor to Aine, Queen of the Fae. Fearful that The Shifting Veil might fall into the hands of the Dark Fae and be used for evil, Aine sends Con to watch Em, and if possible, retrieve the book. Con finds the delectable Em far from timid and shy. Although instructed to remain cloaked in glamour and invisible to Em, he finds her irresistible and must reveal himself to her. Immediately the passion between the two blazes, and love begins to grow. But in the fight to protect the book, and with deadly forces working around them, can Con and Em's love survive? I loved the first book in this series, Triad, and was eager to read A Touch of Fae. I had high expectations, and am happy to say I was not disappointed! Readers will identify with Em and cheer her metamorphosis from timid scholar to powerful and brave witch. Con is male perfection; gorgeous, powerful, protective and so devoted to Em. Their devotion to each other is moving, beautiful, and ever so romantic. A wonderful love story with an imaginative and fast moving plot, A Touch of Fae is a wonderful addition to the Witches Knot series. Annabelle Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

A modern fairie tale .,

This review is from: A Touch of Fae (Witches Knot Book 2) (Paperback)
I read Triad first and loved that A Touch of Fae is about the same family. And, though it stands alone, with great characters and story, I just love reading the Witches Knots continuing stories. Em and Con make a great pair and their strong personalities shine through this tale. Definately on my "keeper shelf"! Thanks Lauren. I am looking forward to #3 in the Witches Knot series.

This was a really good book. I wish it was available in e-format, like the others in the Witches Knot series. I would recommend this book, as well as, the others in the series. Action, romance, suspense, danger..... these books have it all.
