We've been reading this book since my son was 7 months old, he's now almost 11 months old and knows what he likes in books. He loves the tiger, always has. The frog he's never felt for, the orangutan he pulls the hairs out of, they get all over... yuck, but he likes it. The snake he's recently started touching, but only for a second, then he skips right over the toucan and the book's over. So he basically likes three of the five animals. He hardly ever wants to read it a second time.

I also don't like that some of the photos are slightly pixelated, like they didn't print from large enough files... hello!?!

My son prefers when there is an animal on the page with no other distractions, these animals are pictured with jungle plants as well and he just isn't interested. But other babies might find it fascinating... it's just not for us... yet... ???

The 'Touch and Feel' series of books by renowned publishing house 'Dorling Kindersley' answer all the questions a parent has when choosing baby and toddler books. Has it got loads of pictures? Is it durable? Is it educational? Is is funny? Is it tactile? Will it help them get to sleep!!!??? The answer to all these questions is a resounding 'YES!' So, we've read 'Jungle Animals', now all we've got to do is find room for all the other great books in the 'Touch and Feel' series

These are great!! Kids love them and will look at them over and over and over!

Great books - bought the entire series. My daughter loves to read them every day and the "feel" element makes it that much more fun!

My kids have loved the touch and feel books and they have held up remarkably well to the demand of two young boys! Now ages 2 & 4, these books are still high on their lists of fun books to look through when we ask them to pick short stories at bedtime. They love the textures in the books and the photographs (instead of lifelike drawings). Over the years, these books have stood the entertainment test at our house!
