This book is great for infants. My son at ten months loves to pet the puppy's fur on the first page. This book tells kids all about puppys. The puppys in the book tell kids that they like to have their tummy rubbed and they do not like to have their ears pulled and much much more!!!

This series of board books are fantastic.

I started collecting these for my daughter after she was given one at 6 months as she loved them so much. The book is simple and easy to read with wonderful real photography (not illustrations)and textures on each page that relate to the text on the page.

It's a great book to get your baby involved in the reading process, to learn what you are saying also means a texture they can actually touch. It's also a book that baby can read alone with easy to turn pages and endless fascination with the different textures.

A wonderful book to get your children learning, thinking and enjoying books. You can never have too many books to read with your children.

My daughter has loved this book from age 6 months; she's now 18 months. I think it's held her interest because of the variety of textures and because the dogs are so cute! One reason I like this book, over other DK touch and feel books, is that there is no repetition or forced situations. All the textures are a natural fit. They include: fluffy tummy (the best one!), rubber ball, leathery noses, and fuzzy slipper.

This gets a high recommendation from both baby and mommy!

My toddler loves any Touch and Feel book-he got his first for Easter last year and I think there's only 4 or 5 we don't have yet. They're sturdy and a great size for toddlers to read, we even throw a couple in the diaper bag when we're out. They're short enough to keep a toddler's attention and filled with bright photographs of familiar things and simple, easy to read concepts. Although as some people have mentioned on this or other books reviewed, they do have some repititous textures and ideas, but I think that most toddlers won't care about that-mine doesn't anyway-he loves them.
He loves "doggies" in general, so really enjoys this one a lot. He really likes the fluffy tummy, silky ear, and leathery noses, but enjoys the whole book. He loves any of them with animals, but this Puppy one is a favorite. I'd recommend this or most any other of the Touch and Feel series, especially if your toddler loves this kind of hands on reading experience like mine does!

He received it as a first bday gift and still enjoys it several months later. He loves the different textures, especially the furry puppy at the beginning. The book talks about how to be gentle with dogs, etc. which is nice to begin teaching your child how to act around animals.

I liked this book, ordered it for a 1 year old and he liked to feel the furry and fuzzy touch parts in the book. The only thing, I wish the little books were a bit longer, more to them, they are just a few pages for the price.

I bought this for my nephew who was 6 months at the time, he loves the book and loves to touch the touchable parts!

Great touch and feel book. I got this book 5 years ago for my granddaughter and it was her favorite book. She loved feeling the fur, ears etc. I just purchased another copy for a baby shower.

I like the touch and feel books with variety of animals. Once they stick to one subject such as a puppy, kitten, or fire truck, the result is rather boring. My son loved to find all the balls in this book, it served us nice, but I would not buy it again.

My son enjoyed this book a whole lot until he dropped it into the fountain and it got warped. Even slightly disfigured, he still comes back to touch the puppies' noses and ears. It kept him occupied for quite a while when he first got it.
