A Remarkable Journey of Faith in the Midst of Tests at Every Turn

"A Touch from Heaven" is the amazing story of Christopher Pylant, his complex brain surgery, his account of visits to heaven, his healing, and his parent's astonishing faith.

Neal Pylant and Carol Zinz made their wedding vows in her parents' home in, Baltimore, Maryland on May 19, 1973, before over sixty guests. Rabbi Shusterman officiated. Neal and Carol came from families of very different religious traditions and teachings.

Although Neal took seriously the need to father a son, "a seed for the next generation, a legacy" he was casual in the practice of living out his Christian faith, but strong in his conviction that God would provide the seed. In January of 1981 Christopher O'Neal Pylant was born, God's answer to the promised seed.

In young Christopher's third year it was discovered and confirmed by medical professionals in the field of neurology that he had an inoperable brain tumor. Devastated the Pylant's faced trial after trial and test after test. They tenaciously held to the faith that God would spare Christopher's life and heal him. "A Touch from Heaven" is their story. A story of Carol's conversion and Neal's recommitment to his childhood faith.

Beautifully written, this journey of faith is incredible, a dramatic, unforgettable testimony of a growing faith in a miraculous, loving God. Highly recommended.

This book is a must read ... It's is an amazing account of how a loving God heard the prayers of Neal and Carole Pylant as they desperately sought help from Heaven. I believe God heard their prayers and supernaturally lead them to visit our church. From the very first Sunday they attended our fellowship I knew we were being divinely connected to this young family. Their story tells how we would join them on a journey of faith that would forever change us. We witnessed the awesome power and presence of God at work in them as they fought for their sons life. As I was reading this book I was taken back to the Sunday morning Neal and Carol came to faith in Christ. I also remember when we prayed for Christopher how I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to command the tumor to die in the name of Jesus. It looked like the enemy had won when Christopher died but, God supernaturally intervened and brought him back to life. Through the help of an all powerful God Neal and Carole won the battle ... Christopher lived and the tumor died!
If you are in need of a miracle, or just want to read an inspiring story of God's love and compassion, this book is a must read!
I was there and yet I still found myself tearing up as I was reminded of the struggles and pain this couple experienced. I found myself rejoicing with them in their triumphs over an enemy who was to determined to take their son from them. I was deeply moved as I watched them fight with every ounce of strength they had. In the end their faith prevailed.
I strongly suggest you buy a copy of this book not only for yourself but also a copy for those you know who could use " A Touch From Heaven."

I read this book in two evenings. This is a powerful testimony of God's unwavering faithfulness to those who trust Him. Neal and Carole Pylant's faith and relationship in the Living Lord Jesus was all they had left as they stood on God's word and waited for His faithfulness to heal their terminally ill child. This is a powerful story of what it looks like to walk through a trial with The Lord. The author (Neal), his wife (Carole) and their son Christopher (now an adult) share honestly what they were going through from the attacks of satan to the revelations and grace of God. This book will encourage any believer to stand the course. I highly recommend this book for those seeking to know Christ and for those who want to be encouraged in their own walk of faith.

One of the things I like about true stories is that often they are stranger than fiction. This story is no different. It may even be considered bizarre by some who disclaim anything supernatural. A little guy the age of a pre-schooler, who the medical experts on his team claimed could not live, survived a stage 4 brain tumor. His parents were told that medical science couldn't do anything for him. So why is he alive today?

By the time Christopher Pylant arrived at John Hopkins Hospital his medical tests revealed a defused brain stem tumor which was placing pressure on his brain stem and the cerebellum. They believed it had nearly consumed the stem and after surgery to relieve some of the pressure, it was considered inoperable and terminal. But that wasn't the end of the story; it was the middle. To get the full picture and learn how and why Christopher lives today, you have to read all the story from the beginning. All I can say is that the entire sequence of events from start to the present is hard to believe even for those of us with a living relationship with God, not just a religion with a system of rituals.

If there had not been a viable medical history and record, this story could be shoved aside as fanatical belief, wishful thinking, extremism, or pure fantasy. But one of the pediatric neurosurgeons on Chris's medical team was Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, Sr. MD, who wrote the forward to this book. He was a Christian who prayed before surgery and who has seen many unexplainable things in his medical practice. In fact, he wrote a book himself later--Think Big: Unleashing Your Potential or Excellence in which he shared some of his experience with the Pylants' son.
