TEENAGE LOVE, TURNS INTO GROWN FOLKS LOVE,

Raina & Warrick what can I say that has not already been stated, this was my first book by this author, and won't be my last. Raina has been in love with her best friends brother since she was ten although Warrick and his family were from the "wrong" side of track, Raina still loved him. Warrick sister goes to jail and everyone in his family including Warrick blame Raina, now 12 years later he is back, to even the score, however seing Raina after all these years changes something in him. Raina is a stong willed women, and Warrick is a self made man.
Seeing each other again stir something in Warrick that he didn't know were there. This is really good story about teenage love, most adults always say you grow out of it, but not in this case. Very funny book, that every true romance reader will love. Kimmi

LOVED IT!!! I am a new fan of Ms. Smith's and I must admit I am a fan by accident. I read the second book,Recipe for Temptation first, so I already knew a little bit about Warrick and Raina. Lord have mercy I loved this story.
I like how she words things, I feel like I am reading about a good girlfriend when I read her stories. I like that she takes time to not only allow a relationship to evolve but to stoke the fires of desire and passion between the H/H. I was nearly 3/4 through the book before Warrick and Raina even had sex and I was so hyped up by their previous encounters that it was more powerful in some respects. Then the love scenes from that point on were volcanic. LOVED, LOVED,LOVED it! I also like how her books have such an emphasis on family and helping others. Warrick was a millionaire and could have been really over the top but he was so normal and down to earth that you had to love him. Raina was funny and sweet but she had a good, strong back bone and had not problem telling Warrick off and then when she thought about her actions, she had no issues admitting when she was wrong. That's a real women. I enjoyed that about her character. I can't wait to read the third book in this series this fall. BUY this BOOK!!! If you have limited money and don't want a dud!! BUY THIS BOOK!!!

I liked Warrick & Raina well written book. I was surprise though in the book what he found about about his dad (trying to say it without spoiling it)but it was a nice read for me i'm glad Raina stood up to him when it came to her store.

Warrick and Raina steam up the pages...,

This book had it all mystery, love, hate, revenge, deception, revelations...from page one until the end I was hooked on a journey. I could not put this book down until I reached the end-literally.
Warrick Mayne the millionaire engineer has ever reason he believes to "hate" Raina St. James who's testimony in court landed his baby sister in jail for 12 years. When his company decides to open a multiplex in the part of Houston where her spa resides he gets satisfaction in finally obtaining that revenge. Unfortunately he wasn't prepared for the grown up Raina. What I love about Maureen Smith's books is that even though they are romantic, she doesn't give you a clear cut romance story. She gives each character so many obstacles that your heart reaches out to both characters and you are so invested in their happiness that you literally can't walk away from her books until you are satisfied that the characters get to live "Happily Ever After." Her story telling is incredible. She really does her research and takes her time to develop the characters while remaining authentic to their careers. With all odds against them the scenes between Raina and Warrick were so steamy because of the tension she created between them that I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster with both characters. I highly recommmend this book and any book that Maureen Smith's name is on. She is truly a gifted writer who has yet to enjoy her full success yet.

Touch of Heaven is a DELIGHTFUL and emotionally-charged read...and of course I simply LOVE the whole secret crush scenario...the characters are well-developed and MEMORABLE...the SIZZLING mutual attraction between Raina & Warrick practically leaps off the pages...and with the ENGAGING storyline, the SURPRISING twist and the well placed flashbacks into the characters past, it was quite easy to finish this novel in a couple of hours...Mrs. Smith crafts another CAPTIVATING romantic treat.

Touch of Heaven was my least favorite book by Maureen Smith. The story seemed unrealistic and rushed. The author showed us how Raina was in love with Warrick, but his love for her seemed more like lust. Touch of Heaven was missing the vivid erotic sex scenes written in many of Ms.Smith's novels. This novel just didn't have that umpp factor. Overall rating 3.0

After reading Michael and Reese's story I thought I'd read about her sister and I was surprised. I loved that they knew each other even when Raina was his little sisters best friend. Got a little steamy at her spa but a great ending.

A Feisty Romance,
By Shelby P (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Touch of Heaven (Kimani Romance) (Kindle Edition)
I was impressed with several things in this book. First, I liked that Raina held to her convictions of not wanting to see her business/land sold to Warrick. Second, it was nice to see that although Warrick was a self-made millionaire, his family life was not perfect. It was different to see that he had a sister who was a convicted felon serving jail time. Third, I liked the relationship Randall maintained with Raina despite his family's opinion of her. I like that Raina and Warrick did not jump into bed right away. It was a nice build up. It was really touching when Raina related the story of Warrick helping the little kid across the street whose grandmother had passed away and also when Raina remembered his graduation speech with that special present. The only thing that was a bit unrealistic was that attorney going off on Warrick at the Orchestra. A brilliant, intelligent attorney would have never done something like that. Especially since they'd never really gone out on a real date. I really enjoyed this book.
