5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story!
This is my second book by Ms. Terry and I really enjoyed it. The dialogue between the characters was great and I really liked how fearless and competative the female character was. Not sure why the other reviewers thought there wasn't enough heat in the book, because I thought it was hot. I'm looking forward to reading her upcoming Wilde in Wyoming series. Great job!!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars The Fireman Needs Some Fire!, November 24, 2010
This review is from: Hot to Touch (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
"I Hate Myself For Lovin You!" This Joan Jett song is such a reminder of this story! Shane is fighting really hard not to be attracted to Emma. Good story line but what FAILS with this story is this: The sex/chemistry between Shane & Emma is just pure BOREDOM! This INTER-RACIAL romance is one sided - the author describes Emma but not Shane - all you will read is how blue his eyes are and the tic in his jaw when he is upset...sigh!

Mz. Terry has written better - for a black/white romance, its OKAY to describe the white male lover...This story only really describes the black female lover and it borders on Exploitation!

There is no really heat here in this romance and this fireman just does not get me wet for there to be a 'fire' to put out!

I have definitely read BETTER from Mz. Terry!

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Hot but with Heart..., December 29, 2010
This review is from: Hot to Touch (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really really liked this short interracial romance. I read this one in just a few hours. For such a short story, the author did an exceptional job of showing you who the main characters were as individuals and why when together, their chemistry was off the chain!

The plot was very interesting in that I never considered just how dangerous "Jumpers" jobs are. Showing the intensity of this chosen trade and the type of man it takes to have that type of job was put together very well in this book. The personal demons that Shane and Emma faced as indiviuals were heart wrenching. I truly felt for these two and I was rooting for them even when they appeared to not be able to stand one another.

If you are looking for a heart felt, sexy, emotional rollercoaster ride of love in a quick read, then I would suggest this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Diminished Afterburn, March 27, 2011
This review is from: Hot to Touch (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The action sequences in this book and the sexual tension in the beginning were the only thing that saved this romance from being put back on the night stand. Unfortunately mechanical sex and poor writing didn't save it from a poor star rating. The love scenes were lukewarm and read like painting with numbers. So much so, I started skimming them. And there were so many "when"s and "as"s I started counting them as I read and "!" that I first assumed everyone was high. Yes, I know the character is excited, I don't need "!" to prove it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just So So, December 12, 2011
Considering the hero of this book was a firefighter, there wasn't enough heat in this book to remain interested for long. I kept picking this one up and putting it down.

This is the second book that I've read by this author, and I loved it! I enjoyed the intensity of the alpha male character, and I really liked the female lead as well. The love scenes were hot and seemed to fit well in the story. I was able to read this story in one day, as I was unable to put it down once I got started. Great job, and I look forward to reading the new series on alpha male cowboys that Ms. Terry has plans to release soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars interracial lover, December 3, 2010
I am a big fan of interracial novels of bw/wm. I would rank Ms. Terry with the top five. The books was good. The only problem I found about the book is it needed more heat between the main characters. I love the book. Recommend the book.....

3.0 out of 5 stars My first let down..., November 29, 2010
This review is from: Hot to Touch (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have to say I love, love, love Ms. Terry, but this story was a let down. I think Shane was overly harsh almost unbelievably so. The usual sizzle and sensuality from Ms. Terry was there, but the story line left a lot to be desired.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thumbs up, December 25, 2011
This review is from: Hot to Touch (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
In my line of work I interact with firefighters on a daily basis. These ones don't jump out of planes, but their job is dangerous just the same. So to reading this book, albeit fiction, makes work interesting. It's intense at times, but entertaining throughout. Readers shouldn't be disappointed.
