I bought this one as Christmas present for my nephew. Couldn't test it on the beach due to the weather. Played with it in the park, it is quite easy to set up and fold up. Highly recommend.

The fabric is better than the cheap pop up tent in the market.

This is exactly what I have been looking for: an instantly-setting up beach cabana. No more playing with poles...just stretch it out and pull the two cords and it's up. I bought it based on the video review of the first reviewer. It is very simple to set up. Well made and sturdy. Very roomy too with about 4 to 4.5 feet of headroom and plenty of room for three adults in lawn chairs. This will be great for the beach or when we need a windscreen when picnicking. It disassembles just as easily and folds up into a neat little carrying bag that's about 3' tall by 6" wide. Highly recommended!

I wasn't sure I could do what the video showed and open and close this item as easily, but I did - I love this product! Perfect for the beach. Tested it in my living room and assembled and disassembled in less than 5 minutes. It also comes with 4 metal hooks to secure each corner in the sand. Also has a nice carry case to sling right over the shoulder. The colors are bright and cheery and the material appears to be strong and not cheap. I can't wait to use this at the beach. In my opinion, it looks much easier to use than a beach umbrella, and I have no fear of it blowing away because of the hooks (or I can weigh it down with a full cooler or sand chairs because it has a base).

The tent itself is nice and exactly what I was looking for. However, the stakes that are provided with it area a joke. They call this a beach tent, but even a mild ocean breeze would pull up the provided stakes. I got some decent sand stakes and all was well.

It goes up and down quickly, but it might be hard to do if you are below average hight. My wife is 5'2" and she had some problems reaching the top work the mechanism.

This tent is soooooooooooooooo easy to use! I live on an island and frequent the beach. I wanted something that would protect my 3 month old son and this does the job! It's light weight, easy to set up, easy to take down and comes in a handy bag. I do have to say if it's really windy out you need something stronger to keep it grounded than the 4 stakes it comes with. But overall this tent is great. It has great airflow inside too. It doesn't get too hot.

Product was received in good condition. Perfect for my family needs. Normally this item can be purchased at around $135.00 but I was able to purchase through Amazon. com at a 70% discount and savings. A great bargan.

I purchased this off season and finally started to use it at the beginning of the summer for different events.
PROS:
I did find it very easy to set up and break down, done within minutes.

I got a great deal on it, so I paid for what I received.

It is very tall and can comfortably accommodate 3 adults and chairs.

CONS:
I think this would be more challenging for a shorter individual to set up and break down because the mechanism for setting it up requires some strength at an awkward angle.

My daughter is three years old and is quite active and I found myself constantly concerned about the tent because the material seemed really cheap. I have never seen another beach canopy like this one close up, so I can't use personal experiences to compare the quality of the fabric, but it doesn't come close to the quality of my camping tent or my 10 x 10 pop up canopy (neither of which are made by the same manufacturer). I have used it three times with toddlers and no tears or seams splitting yet, but given the quality, I wouldn't be surprised if I am trashing this by the end of our beach season.

The lack of windows means that air circulation is poor. It heats up in there!

Somebody should be giving her a commission, because I too bought this tent after watching Robin's video review. It is by far the easiest and most convenient pop-up tent I've ever seen. Phenomenally easy to set up and break down. It is a very good size inside. I am 6'1" and 3 of me would certainly fit in the tent with no problem, or 2 lawn chairs with a cooler and some other things in the middle. The materials are much sturdier than I imagined for something in this price range. I would have rated it perfect except for one minor thing, I wish the walls of the tent had some pockets sewn on where you could put keys, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. while you're at the beach, but other than that, this is a fantastic quick-setup tent. The best thing about it may be how light it is when folded up. I have one of those plastic and canvas folding chairs in the canvas carrying bag with the shoulder strap, like you get at WalMart for $20, and I put this tent into that carrier instead. This tent barely weighs half of what the chair does. For the price, you can't beat it.

I love this beach shelter. I can't use suntan lotion because I'm chemically sensitive, so keeping the sun off me on the beach is very important, but I also have fibromyalgia and so dealing with tent pole and stuff just isn't going to happen for me. This certainly takes more than "one touch" to put up and take down, but I've never seen anything as easy as this. I've even used it in the yard as a sun shade for my daughter. This is also nice and large.

The reason why I gave it a four instead of a five star rating is because it needs two important things. The first is it needs bigger tent pegs. Not only do these not hold the tent in the wind, the tent comes off them and they disappear under the sand, so you are sifting through sand for a while to try to find them. It just needs bigger pegs, preferably ones with hooks. Second it really needs sand pockets on the outside. On a windy day, not even a really windy one, I couldn't even get the thing to stand up while I threw sand all over the floor of it. I had to have my daughter hold it for me. If there had been pockets on the outside I could have just filled them while holding it from when I put the pegs in. And finally, there is the matter of getting anything back into the bag they provide--it barely fits. I'm always struggling with it. I've decided that I'm just going to make a bag that's a few inches larger. Really, it wouldn't have cost them much more at all to make the bag slightly larger!

So, overall it is very nice, but needs some changes to make it great.

this tent looks great and was definitely easy to assemble. I was so excited to find it!
We took it on our beach vacation and only used it ONE DAY. It was an OVEN inside!
There is no air flow. The tiny opening at the top is not enough for the air to move around. We tried facing it in different directions but nothing worked. I think I will stick with umbrellas!
