5.0 out of 5 stars A Blessing for Any New Christian
I purchased this book very soon after becoming a new believer in Christ. It has been a God send. It helps you as a woman understand your role and how you should live and act as a Christian Woman. Basically what this book does is list a topic and several questions under that topic that you may be asking yourself. Then it gives scripture passages from the New Living Translation. After some of the scripture, whoever wrote the book then paraphrases scripture into whatever he/she thinks it means. I found this paraphrasing unneccessary. People who are new in Christ...

People who are new in Christ or new at reading the bible may be swayed by someone else's opinion and then may not seek the wisdom from God to understand what they have just read. I also found some of the scripture was taken out of context. Overall, I would say that this book is helpful in finding scripture related to certain topics, but it is best read with your bible open so you can read the scripture right out of God's word in it's original context. This book shouldn't be used to read instead of the bible.

I purchased this book very soon after becoming a new believer in Christ. It has been a God send. It helps you as a woman understand your role and how you should live and act as a Christian Woman. The author lists a topic, such as Children, then lists several Questions (that you might be asking) and follows this with versus from the bible and then states things in "real world" language. My spouse also purchased the ToughPoints for Men and it is wonderful also. I HIGHLY recommend buying this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touch Points for Women, July 29, 2009
This review is from: TouchPoints for Women (Paperback)
I think this book is helpful for anyone... new Christians as well as seasoned Christians. It has helped me greatly in times of overwhelming, pain, sadness and trouble, when I had difficulty concentrating on anything. The topics and following verses are short and go straight to the heart of the matter in which you are seeking help and encouragement. At a time that you are suffering and are unable to keep your mind from wandering... even reading something that would normally be interesting to you is nearly impossible, you can find wonderful comfort in these little books. I also like to use them to look up the whole chapter from which each verse comes from when I am in a better frame of mind.

I bought this book when my husband divorced me to be with another woman in 2004, and it was an extremely difficult time. This book as well as the one for couples was a God-send!

TouchPoints for Couples

I see that there is another one called Touch points for Troubled Times which I would also like to get.
