5.0 out of 5 stars Some many questions answered
Here's a book that shook me into my deepest beliefs. This book, set up in a logical and readable way, describes a number of witness stories. Although unchallenged, the contents of the stories reach directly into the soul. It convinced me there is more after this life, and the afterlife is something to look forward to. 3.0 out of 5 stars hard to stay with
this book did not touch me in the way that other books of this genre usually do. There's a lull in it that made me unable to capture the beauty of spirituality. this book is a composite of stories of those that have had near death experiences. I just couldn't connect with it. It had some touching moments but I couldn't suspend reality and get into it. I wouln't...

Here's a book that shook me into my deepest beliefs. This book, set up in a logical and readable way, describes a number of witness stories. Although unchallenged, the contents of the stories reach directly into the soul. It convinced me there is more after this life, and the afterlife is something to look forward to. The one and only power in this universe is love, and Brad Steiger succeeds in telling this important message to us. For me, it is clear all the major religions in this world have a common background.

This book proves that there is something else waiting for us after death. That something is filled with love and hope.

3.0 out of 5 stars Comforting, but????, February 22, 2006

This review is from: Touched by Heaven's Light (Paperback)
I am a Christian (Lutheran). I would love to believe it but this book goes against everything that the Bible says about sin, the afterlife, hell, etc. as well as endorsing (and ignoring warnings about) mediums, etc. I am surprised that Sherry, an ordained Lutheran minister, could co-write this book. I believe in a 'God of love' but this book fails to recognize 'evil', and I find it difficult to believe that Hitler, Stalin, Genghis Khan and even satan will eventually go to Heaven after spending a few confused years of 'spirit wandering' in 'lower planes' after death.
