5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Compilation
"Real Music" compilations represent the finest New Age recordings money can buy. Here, in this 1999 disc, 12 musicians create a 13 track CD that is, indeed, full of beauty. 1.0 out of 5 stars If you own 1, you own them all.
I was so disappointed by this album. I was given Quiet Days from a friend who recived it form her insuance agent Thrivent Financial. I liked Quiet Days and figured Touching Beauty would be good too. BUT most of the same artists from QD are used on here and the result is repetitive. Plus, the sound is a little dated. I think this was released in th3 90s...Not Real Music,...

"Real Music" compilations represent the finest New Age recordings money can buy. Here, in this 1999 disc, 12 musicians create a 13 track CD that is, indeed, full of beauty. From Michael Hoppé's touching "Song for Sarah" to the now well known "Through the Arbor" by Kevin Kern, this disc represents the perfect way to spend a relaxing 50 minutes.

Highlights include Huw Warren's "Morea Bychan", Tim Wheater's "Seventh Ray" and Swiss group Back to Earth's "White Shadow".

A range of instruments are used within the disc, but all the tracks have that relaxing quality and feel to them.

As ever with Real Music recordings, the packaging is first class and the sound quality top-notch.

An excellent disc showcasing some of the finest New Age musicians. Highly recommended.

The most soothing music I have ever heard has come from Hiko. His arrangement on this CD is no exception. He and other artists have outdone themselves on this CD. I will continue to recommend this to friends and family, along with my favorite (Hiko - First Embrace) Truly an uplifting experience!!

I want to comment on this album which I have find very beautiful and inspirational. The record company has done an excellent job in choosing their collection of arists and their music. I happened to see Hiko, one of the artists perform and promote this album in a local music store in my area.I was very moved and inspired upon hearing his beautiful, soul searching, and at times haunting melodies.I wish them all much success and many more recordings to come. BRAVO,Hiko!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding and Theraputic; Hiko is especially Talented, October 18, 1999
This review is from: Touching Beauty (Audio CD)
This is one of the most outstanding CD's I have purchased. The compositions are moving and take one to another place. Most significant is the composition by the artist HIKO. His sweeping melody is most appreciated by my patients who have said that this piece has particularly moved them in that it is filled with warmth and brightness. I am searching for more music by this artist but have yet to find other releases by the label.

The whole CD is a welcome addition to this genre of music. I am pleased to see some new artists on a CD with with veteran artist such as Wheater

5.0 out of 5 stars HIKO, October 2, 2000

I found HIKOS' music to be the "hull" of the whole CD and the words "Touching Beauty" to describe what his music is. It reaches inside your soul to inspire true love and thoughtfulness. He seems to have a spirit that goes from his soul into the listeners'. I own this CD and have ordered the next two since I live in the central states. I cannot wait until his music is more accessible to the rest of the world. I know he is one of the new up and coming artists, but his talent and the heart he puts into his beautiful music should be and I hope will be known world wide soon. He is a very gifted artist and I wish him all the best. I can't wait until I have his next CD. Thank you, Sharon Plonka

Soothing, soft, relaxing, pleasant. A sound the mellows you. Allows you to calm down, relax, enjoy. Music that floats gently over you, enveloping you without suffocating you.

5.0 out of 5 stars ..more than I expected!, September 27, 2000

I originally purchased this for relaxation, but this collection brings much more - compositions by Hiko made my heart and mind soar! "Alive" "free" "joyous" "love" - Just a few of the emotions that Hiko's music triggers and evokes...This is music that is as equally apt for a quiet evening, as for an exciting summer day. - For introspection and for sharing. For happiness and healing. Hiko crosses over the boundaries of "relaxing" music and forms a category of his own.
