Multi-level, multi-purpose, multi-enjoyment music.

This is background music with a purpose. The musicality and timbre of each selection on this disk is unique and engaging. If you are one that works, concentrates, meditates, or engages in something with foccussed attention, this music provides an uplifting yet subltle atmosphere of support. Its alpha-wave composition reaches all emotional and aural ranges with unobtrusive white-music. The melodies can either be enjoyed as compositions or as background non-descript musical flow as they can be enjoyed as both a familiar melody or a distant symphonic composition.

This music on this album seems to inspire and support any task I decide to undertake with music in the background. It suppliments reading, studying, cooking, meditating, you name it, by engaging the emotions that music can enhance, much like a sound track in a movie.

Frank Steiner Jr. is an innovative musical genius.

I listen to a lot of new age music, but this is one of my favorites because of all the elements of water and metal incorporated into this thoughtful CD. Tinkling windchimes perk your attention without lulling you into a stupor but they also don't become overdone or obnoxious. A beautiful rendition of an Eastern sound with a western appeal. One of my favorites to listen to when I need to get a lot done but need to be thoughtful and focused as I do it. Hope you enjoy it too.

Touching Silk is one of the best cds I have heard in a long time! If you are looking for new age music combined with other influences this is one is for you!

I was very impressed with the quality of the compositions on this album. I had never heard of Frank Steiner Jr. before until I heard him on a radio station on iTunes. You will not be disappointed with his music as each song cross fades in to each other creating an interesting beautiful flow. However my only complaint is that I should of ordered the cd instead of downloading the mp3. Because each track flows into another the mp3 download cut them up. I do not fault Amazon for this technical oversight. For example, as a song ends it abruptly ends then the next song starts with some of the last track starting it off. It is quite an annoyance and disrupts the flow. This music is so good that I have ordered the cd.

The first time I heard the piece called "Touching Silk," I was truly overcome with emotion. There's something about the marriage of the Chinese stringed instrument and the background music that's magical; it takes one to that place we all yearn for, where we lose ourselves in the essence of the spirit and forget, for a moment, our own fragile ego and petty thoughts. Each time I hear this piece, it takes me there, and gives me a feeling that's both humbling and empowering. The other pieces on this album have their own qualities, as other reviewers have noted. They all come together in harmony, and are guaranteed to provide that return to self that recharges each of us and refocuses us on something greater than our own little world. This collection of musical works is a rare gem.

This is my favorite CD, I always enjoy and relax with it. This time, I bought it for my Yoga Teacher. She love it too. the seller is also responsive and delivery fast.
