Joey Summers is a boy that loves baseball. He challenges ideas that others his age just accept as unchangeable--that you just can't compete with the older children in this league. Faced with few places to practice, an older, taunting sister, and a passion for the sport not shared by his friends; Joey sets upon a course to hit the toughest pitchers in his league. Encouraged only by his silent companion--Tacos--the family dog, Joey finds that he has more support than he thinks as the story ends. A great read for baseball lovers or anyone that believes hard work does pay. Play Ball!
