Love them, these nets came a little bigger than previous purchases of its kind and the main tie chord is now longer which makes it really easy to secure safely to tie rings or pipe corrals.
I have several of these nets so I can prepare feedings ahead of time. They can hold 2-3 complete flakes of hay or about 2 flakes of mixed loose hay. For the price of one hay net I have saved hundreds of dollars with 95% less wasted hay in the last six months. The horses are more relaxed and have the choice of food all the time without gorging all at once and then standing around. More natural and great peace of mind if i have to leave for the day. Plus the small openings means they can be tied a little lower for the horses to feed comfortably without the ability to get their feet or noses caught up in the net. I took several weeks to help my horses make the transition from having flaked hay in feeders to the slow feed nets, but it was totally worth it.

This net works great for my "easy keeper." She stays busy MUCH longer than my traditional cotton large hole nets. I can tie it lower for a more natural feeding position & no worries of her getting caught up because the holes are small. The TRICK TO FILLING IT is to have a designated clean "muck bucket" and just open it over the bucket like a trash bag in a trash can. You can get a large cheapo bucket for $6-$8 from a big box store or dollar store. (You know, the kind everyone puts ice and beverages in for parties? When you start, make sure you offer it ALONG WITH hay as you usually feed it - so they aren't overly hungry and biting at it (until they get used to it.)

Nice and sturdy, would like to find ones that are 1.5 inches apart instead of these which stretch to a good 2.5-3 inches when full, BUT will order more when needed, fair price too and it still takes my horses about 16-18 hrs to slowly 'graze' their hay from these bags, awesome when you can only feed once daily.

These are sturdy enough, have held up well so far to our horses stepping on them, kicking them around like soccer balls, urinating on them, and tearing at them with their teeth. Our horses do not like the hay nets hung up, they prefer the, on the ground, which some people disapprove of, I know. They seem to enjoy playing with them which is good since it keeps them from being bored when they are confined to their small paddock. I can stuff about 4 good-sized hay flakes in there, using the bucket method. Hay wastage has diminished significantly, except for the urinating episodes.

We filled this full of brome hay, tied it up high so a 300 pound Section A Welsh pony could 'graze' on the hay. We came back to the barn about 30 minutes later and had hay all over the place, the nylon line to tie this hay bag up is too flimsy and the pony had it broke and down in less than 30 minutes. We retrieved the bag and hay, took a heavy cotton lead rope and threaded it through the top of the bag where the nylon tie was and put it back up with the rope, so far the bag has now been up all afternoon. We will do this to the second bag we bought before we use it.

My horse and I both love this hay bag. He'll empty it rather than clean up a another flake on the floor. No hay wasted! I hang it so it's eye-height for the horse. It holds two flakes, and gives my guy hay to nibble all day or night. I fill it with handfuls of loose hay and it helps to roll the top edge over to make a better opening since the bag has no structure.

This has been a great hay bag for slowing down my horse's eating on rainy days when he can't be out in his turnout. It has held up well and the small holes really snow him down.

to the person who found these hard to fill, put the net in a round tub ,then put the hay inside.so simple and no trying to stuff it in. If you look at where the cord joins you can see how they can come apart easily,so tie a knot there.I must have a dozen or so of these nets, great for the price.
