5.0 out of 5 stars Hear it once and you'll be hooked
Legendary DJ Tony Moran hit a perfect mix with this cd. Out of the two cds, cd 1 was my favorite with deep tribal mixes featured on tracks 7,8. This has to be the best dance cd of 2005 so far, difficult for it to be eclipsed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Tony Moran's Best Work.
Tony Moran is a master at his craft, however, this is not a good example of it. From beginning to end it's the same--nothing stands out. I guess I was expecting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moran's strongest mix-a vocal lover's dream with some exclusive gems, September 2, 2005
This review is from: Tour De Beats (Audio CD)
Disc 1 is a peak hour vocal anthem lover's dream. The CRUCIAL REASON TO GET THIS DISC is for the near full-length version of Deborah Cox's "Easy as Life" which was previously only available as a download on the Disney site. The second most crucial reason...the near 9 minute version of the rare Tony Moran/Warren Rigg mix of Kristine W! The Deep Influence mix of "dance with me" is one of the best full vocal mixes I've heard in a while that includes the verses. Disc 1 is non-stop powerhouse, and even the "filler" like "tribal funk", "kerosene" and "give me love" aren't bad. I still would have passed on them to get longer versions of some of the stronger tracks though. A few of the tracks are a little on the short side. Disc 2 is vocal heaven from tracks 1-5. The tony moran mix of "touch it" is amazing, but this exclusive mix only gets 4 minutes of airtime!!! track 6 is boring filler, Track 7, "horn drivers", is an okay instrumental, but runs a bit long, track 8 is a really odd Latin flavored track with manipulated vocals. The friburn & urik billboard dance chart topper "show it", hard to find on CD, is here, but it's only about 5 minutes long. Again, could have lost some of the instrumental filler and given us longer versions of the hard to get stuff, although, in my opinion "Show it" IS filler. BORING. But the disc ends brilliantly with 8 minutes of the hard to get Chad Jack mix of Vernessa Mitchell. I have all of Tony Moran's mix CDs, and I can definitely say that here, he manages to make TWO CDs-worth of mix that is better than any single disc he's ever released. Track times:

CD1
1. jumpin (4:10)
2. Luv luv (4:56)
3. Tribal funk (3:19)
4. Dance with me (5:45)
5. Party time (6:26)
6. Easy as life (9:45)
7. Pump it up (6:16)
8. Kerosene (5:51)
9. If I close my eyes (5:51)
10. Give me love (4:31)
11. I'll be your light (8:47)

CD2
1. tie me down (5:33)
2. touch it (4:18)
3. I need you (2:27)
4. Waiting for Algeria (6:44)
5. Live you all over (8:27)
6. Echos for doruma (5:39)
7. Horn drivers (6:12)
8. Habla con la luna (5:39)
9. Show it (5:24)
10. Took my life (8:13)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Compilation!, January 4, 2005
This review is from: Tour De Beats (Audio CD)
OMG, this is one hot cd! The original track by Tony and Deborah Cooper "Live You All Over" is going to be this years biggest anthem. Also, this cd has new mixes of Deborah Cox's "Easy as Life" and Reina's "If I Close My Eyes". All in all, a great cd that feels like a night at the club.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tony's Tour...., April 1, 2005
This review is from: Tour De Beats (Audio CD)
April 1st 2005 (No April Fools Day around here) I met Tony on a Caribbean Cruise this past March, Atlantis. He was the headline DJ, along with Warren Gluck and Joe Gautheraux, all 3 very special, and detailed in there mixing abilities. All have there own taste for music, and all were excellent!!!. However to get the ship on a non stop party path Tony was the man to set the ship sailing, even when we were still at Port. He is one of the nicest DJ's/remix artists I have met in my 17 years as a DJ, and I have met just about all the BIG names around, from back when "Tribal Records and Tommy Boy (Tom Silverman)" were the true leaders. I am honestly suprised at myself for not previously having an online comment in regards to this "AMAZING CD". This is a TRUE work of art, and I am so delighted to have met Tony, and chatted with him, having been a fan for about 15-20 years I remember some work that even till today I still love on 12" vinyl. Tony you have come a long way, getting better with each new release, and keeping such a croud pleasing, consistant rhythm that is just addicting to the ear. This CD honestly contains some of the best work I have heard, from the amazing Deborah Cox, Ron Perkov, Zhana Saunders, Reina and the amazing Kristine Weitz (Kristine W. her massive club comeback from the brinks of death, proving "Stem Cell Transplants" can really work, and she truly can "Fly Again, in The Land of The Living".) I being a DJ am as picky as anyone else can be, and I bought this double CD "TourDeBeats" simply because Tony was in Charge, So I knew it would be great, and I was so true. It is a great work of Art, as well as the talanted artists who look to him for guidance. Keep up the wonderful work. Jason33305@aol.com Prof. DJ @ The Worthington Resort Ft. 5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Circuit Vocal mix CD's, December 30, 2005

I love almost all the songs on these 2 CD's. Tony is a great producer, and continues where Hex Hector left off. Sometime in the middle of 2004, Tony suddenly became a great dj. He used to play cheesy happy songs. Now his style is harder and more tribal, and his CD shows off his new style. Well done. My only complaint is that the sets are short--about 60 minutes each CD.

Tony Moran is starting to become one of my favorite DJs. He struck me first on his mix for Deborah Cox's "Easy As Life" and now on this album's Deborah Cooper "Live You All Over". This two CD pack offer a lot of variety in music styles. He has a way of synchronizing voices and making them into rhythm within the track. I cannot wait to see what his next CD will be like.
