Good but not Electrifying,
By Paul A. Kirwan (Ireland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tour De Flock: Live at the Point (Audio CD)
Bell X1 are a good Irish pop-rock band who have risen from the ashes of 'Juniper'. This is the 'live' collection of their second album 'Flock' with some tracks from their debut album 'Music In Mouth'. They show here that they can deliver 'live' with most songs actually sounding better than the studio recordings. 'Lamposts', 'Rocky Took A Lover', 'Trampoline' and 'Eve, Apple of My Eye' all sound fantastic. Audience Interaction is evident to give a real 'live' flavour and with no over-dubs, this is as good a 'live' collection as it gets, in terms of sound quality. The CD and DVD package are a welcome addition to fans and enhance the studio tracks (if you have the studio albums). Definitly worth flocking over to buy it.
