5.0 out of 5 stars Quite simply a true masterpiece! Get that book!!!, July 27, 2005
This review is from: Tour de France and Its Heroes (Hardcover)
This book covers mainly the 80s of the Tour de France which was probaly its finest decade ever, before Indurain and then Amstrong took out all the excitement of the event with their long-lasting and boring domination.

The texts are full of valuable insights and dramatic details. Add to that Graham Watsons atmospheric photos that seem to always capture the one, definite second of a situation, and you realise, that you have a jewel in your hands that you simply can't put away.

This small book is one of the most authorative documents on the Tour de France - a true masterpiece. Open it, and you can almost hear the crowd cheering Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault all the way up to L'Alpe d'Huez...
