We didn't find this video particularly useful. It is dated and not very informative. The visuals of the outdoors are stunning but we knew this about NZ already from everything else we read and from that tiny, independent film series called Lord of the Something or Other.

What we wanted was less about the obvious tourist traps (panning for gold, I mean, c'mon) and more about the people, the cities, and life in New Zealand. Skip this film or, if you want to watch it, do so with the sound off -- and then fast forward through all the zooming helicopters and airplanes as they soar a la Magnum PI over bluffs and glaciers.
