You know that show you watched when you were 8 that cracked you up, made your parents roll their eyes, and your friends knew all the good lines? That's Gravity Falls. The kids are weird, the uncle a little disturbing... but it's Disney enough to not be offensive. My 7 1/2 year old son LOVES this show. WAAAYYY better than the nonsense on Nickelodeon.

I love watching this with my 9 year-old. The show is simple enough for children, but serves itself up with a subtle tone that resonates with adults, which helps alleviate the soul-crushing awareness that comes with adulthood.

Very smart show for the 8+ set, that utilizes a great blend of absurdity, tight plotting, and a supportive set of twins. Watched it after Wired called it the smartest cartoon on TV, which seems pretty apt to me-- it's certainly clever. But what I think is really at the core of its appeal is the great character development. The kids are a very realistic twelve years old, and their motivations in a silly world full of manotaurs and gnomes comes from incredibly relatable twelve year old desires. The silliness of the setting is nicely balanced with the realism of the relationship between twins Mabel and Dipper, who are at once supportive, loving and appropriately mismatched and sibling-y.

I bought the first episode, just to check it out, and ended up buying every single one that was available.

This series is a great show for all ages. I have a preschool and 2 elementary school-aged children. While they do not love to be scared, creepy or weird definitely interest them. The characters in Gravity Falls are fun and silly and entertaining. My husband and I happily watch this show with our kids because the characters are great. I personally love that each episode focuses on the twins (Dipper and Mabel) encountering some myth or mythical creature. The surly character Gruncle Stan (Great-Uncle Stan) is rude and inappropriate but he checks that attitude to care for the kids so overall, he's a likable gruff man. The store employees, Soos (Jesus) and Wendy, are fun additional characters. Soos is a very kind-hearted character and balances the gruffness of Gruncle Stan while Wendy provides a love interest for Dipper.

This series is fun for all and a great way to introduce the creepy myths to your kids without ever scaring them. My children demand I DVR every new episode so they can watch it over and over again. Eventually, I bought the digital first season for my Kindle Fire so that I could have it on hand when I need electronic babysitting help. Great show and I highly recommend it.

I really enjoy this show. It has quality animation and is fun for the whole family. It has jokes for the kids and a few thrown in their for parents as well that will most likely go over younger audience's heads. I also think the theme. a sci-fi/drama/comedy really appeals to those of us who are typically older then the targeted demographic (me). I really hope this show continues to do so well in the ratings (I've been reading it has) so that those of us that enjoy it so much will be able to continue to do so. Keep up the good work writers/producers/directors/actors/animators/sound guys!

The jokes work so well; kids, grown-ups and grown up kids can appreciate the show. Every episode has been great; no filler and no loser in this season.

I have been unimpressed with the quality of Disney cartoons since the 90's and the Disney afternoon was on. This show reminds me of some of the greats like Darkwing Duck , Talespin and Gargoyles. I hope Disney keeps it going!!

I haven't laughed so hard at a tv show since Dan Harmon was forced out of "Community." I'm way over the age for its target audience, but it always makes my day when I get to see a new episode.
