The places described and the recommendations made have proved choice so far. From restaurants, to art galleries, to music venues, to local fare, this NFT has fired on all cylinders.

I like the concept of a "tourbook for residents" and this book carries that off well. These books come in two page sizes and thankfully this one is in the larger size, which is still small enough to fit in a glove box but big enough to read without a magnifier. I'm glad that it covers the Eastside, but wish that it also covered the north and south ends of Lake Washington as well. As a former Seattleite I give it a thumbs up.

I got this book as a gift for a family member who lives in Seattle. I thought the 'not for tourists' title would mean that it would be a book for people who live in Seattle and want to discover new, fun things to do nearby. It was exactly the opposite of what I was expecting. It is full of maps and categories (like restaurants, theaters, etc.) And NO pictures whatsoever. Just maps and text. Not what I wanted at all.
