This was also required reading for my college class. It was incredibly insightful and I would recommend it to others. It really gives you a whole new perspective on TRAVEL, VACATION, ENTERTAINMENT, PHOTOGRAPHY, and some fabulous chaptered examples. Which will allow you to take an introspective look at the world, yourself, and how you are affected by and contributing to the exploitation of the simple wonders around us.

This book was great, it was required for my Anthropology course on global tourism. I felt like it was an easy read and a good well rounded collection of case studies and papers both classic and contemporary. It was easy enough to get through without bogging you down too much in jargon but still used valuable meaningful language so it didn't feel dumbed down at all. A very enjoyable read.
