I bought the at a local dealer 2 months ago and have been loving them. They fit great, look great and kept my feet warm. The only problem is that I finally rode in the rain...

The ride was 20 miles, about half an your. I had a waterproof over pant over my jeans and the top of my boot. When I got to work, my feet were soaked. I had to deal with this for 9 hours because I didn't bring a second pair of shoes. Why would I plan for my water proof boots to soak my feet? So, after dealing with wet feet for 9 hours, i rode home. Again, my feet got drenched and the puddle inside grew to an amount i could actually pour out of my boot.

They have been drying for 2 days and the inner cushioning is not wanting to dry. I have them next to a heater, warm air blowing straight in but still nowhere near dry. Now my place wreaks of mildew and I have boots that I probably won't be able to wear on tomorrow's ride to work. Also, since drying, a weird white powder has formed on the edges of the leather on the outside of the boots. I have no idea what it is. All I know is that it shouldn't be there.

So, you plan on riding in real rain and not just a sprinkle, i'd suggest moving on to a different boot that may keep your feet dry. Otherwise, these are a great boot.

    * as for fit, they fit kind of like a cowboy boot. The top of the boot is loose and the heel may slip a bit. It's not annoying or bothersome, just something to note.

I contacted tourmaster and they happily replaced the boots for me for free without a receipt. They even paid for shipping there and back. I'll report back after I get to test the quality of the new pair. I'm hoping I just got a bad pair that slipped through the cracks.

I typically wear a size 12 shoe in a wide version. After several tries, I finally ended up finding that I had to go up to the 14W version of this boot. At first, they are a bit challenging to get your feet into but they loosen up with time and I can vouch for how comfortable a boot they are. I rode for three seasons wearing a laced-up ankle boot and my feet were always too hot except when it was 30F outdoors! These boots are a world of difference in comfort. Be forewarned, though, you must wear over-the-calf socks or you risk chafing. I liked these boots so much that I also got the Tourmaster Solution WP Air boots for summertime riding.

But boot manufacturers must think that men wearing size 15s must all be skinny. I can't get my foot down into the boot because the ankle is way too tight.
