My Dog Loves Them,

This review is from: Tourna 18-Pack Mesh Bag of Pressureless Tennis Balls (Sports)
I don't play tennis or any other related sport which uses a tennis ball. However, my dog loves to play catch and she loves to chew and subsequently destroy tennis balls.I purchased the Tourna balls for no other reason than cheap cost. In all honesty, I expected the quality to be equally as cheap, but it didn't matter because my dog didn't pay for them, I did. I'm happy to report that my initial assessment was erroneous. The balls are great. For starters, they have a nice bright color. The felt (I hope that's what it's called) maintained its color and durability, in spite of my dog's depraved slobbery chewing sessions. Even after she thoroughly abuses each ball, they retain a high bounce, and travel fast and far, despite sometimes being lathered with thick layers of dog saliva. The balls are regularly exposed to diverse settings, i.e., grass, dirt, mud, beach sand, and at times--the toilet. I don't think tennis balls are designed to be washed. But I had to after several "catch" sessions. Once they dry, they generally lose very little bounce or felt. The most surprising aspect was with regards to ball pressure. My dog is an 80 pound Weimaraner with powerful teeth and a tennis ball chewing compulsion. She truly puts them to the test. Of all the brands she has punctured and ripped apart, the Tourna withstood the greatest abuse and held its design integrity the longest. In my personal opinion, Tourna balls are perfect--even for human athletes. But I'm easy. My dog Abbey has more stringent standards. Much to my dismay, she informed me that after careful deliberation, she rated them 4 stars. Her opinion enraged me. Accordingly, I demanded an explanation for this travesty, and also smashed a Limited-edition Dale Earnhardt Collector Plate against the wall. My dramatic outburst failed to influence her opinion. She firmly reiterated that she is presently reserving her 5 star rating, due to one crucial factor. Abbey conceded that she might revisit the matter and consider rating them 5 Stars if Tourna introduces a bacon flavored tennis ball. I must also confess that after our heartfelt talk, I became convinced by her rationale. It's a well known fact and accepted truth that bacon makes everything better. Hell, even Jack In The Box makes a bacon shake now. Hear that Tourna? Your customers want bacon! Cheers, Joaquin

We got this late In the 2009 season and only got to use them a few times. However, the balls have retained their bounce and feel very well. I plan to get a few more of these so I can fill the ball hopper I use during practice with my son. I would recommend them to anyone.Remember these are practice balls and you will find issues if you expect to use them to play serious tennis between adults. They are perfect for tossing out to a kid to improve their game.

Economy Bag of Practice Tennis Balls,

This review is from: Tourna 18-Pack Mesh Bag of Pressureless Tennis Balls (Misc.)
My son plays tennis and we like to hit balls back and forth to each other. So I bought this bag of balls with the idea that we would both have plenty of balls with us at all times. It is frustrating to have just a few tennis balls and have to chase them down after each play, so this was well worth the rather inexpensive investment. Now we can practice for an hour or more and not waste time chasing down errant balls. In terms of quality, these are not competition "game" balls. However, if your purpose is just to hit balls back and forth for practice, or to practice your serve over and over, these will certainly meet your need. We play complete games with them with no complaints from either of us, but then we are not "pros" nor are we power tennis players who need consistency in tennis balls. For the average Joe and son or daughter, these balls are perfect. The mesh bag provides a convenient carrying case to and from the court. Good price too. konedog

After purchasing this bag of balls I didn't get around to playing with them. A year later I dug them out and they play amazingly well for sitting around. These are great for training and teaching kids.

I needed tennis balls for my two dogs to play with, but didn't have time to go to a sporting goods store. The product was high-quality, arrived on time, and was clean and exactly as described. It also stood up to the teeth of a determined Golden Retriever and a Border Collie. I'm glad I bought them.

Just want to try how performance of some pressureless tennis ball. Got a bag of 18 balls of Unique, along with a bag of Penns. The Penn pressureless ball may not be the best but it's really OK for ball machine practices. The 18 Unique balls were just absolutely useless. They didn't bounce at all, really deserve Zero star. I even want to question how Amazon could carry this kind of product. Is there any quality control?

I always use practice balls with my Chuckit when I play with my dog. These are a great deal. The pressureless balls last much longer than regular tennis balls, and are perfect for dogs. Don't buy some fancy balls "made for dogs", these balls work excellent and are much cheaper than buying pet specific balls.

when I began using these balls, two of them are not bouncing at all. the others seem to be working well through. But, its still hard to believe that, they put bad balls in the bag. I don't think I'll buy Tourna products anymore!!
